Just OK

Posted May 30, 2015
Pros: Location, cost and simplicity
Cons: A coffee maker would be good
Location: Great location within easy walking distance to downtown, rec centre, museum, library/art gallery, and numerous shops and restaurants
Our room had 2 queens, was spacious, and bathroom was certainly adequate. There are no frills. You also don't pay for them! So no coffee maker, no fridge, no breakfast, no pool; there was a hair dryer, and the beds were actually not bad at all. It's not the Hilton, but it's not scud row, either. The chairs had holes in the upholstery, and a few little housekeeping issues. If you need to spend time there beyond shower and sleep, I would recommend you look elsewhere to be more comfortable. But most of us are so busy with outdoor activities that it's really all you need (at about 1/2 the cost of other places!) Location is excellent and you can walk to downtown and rec centre, many choices of restaurants and the lovely boardwalk area. No time for sweating the small stuff!

No frills accommodations for a small budget

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Proximity to shopping, dining and recreational activities.
Cons: In-room coffee maker would be ideal.
Location: Close to everything you could hope to do in Canmore.
If your requirement is for simple, no frills, low budget accommodation, this inn is for you. Check-in was effortless. Room was pleasantly appointed and clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. We didn't get many extras, but for what we paid, we received good value for dollar. We were in Canmore to enjoy the outdoors for the most part and just needed a place to rest our heads. This inn was perfect for our needs.

$ 100 deposit for a $0.35 Key.

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Not much
Cons: Key policy.
Location: x
Yes this hotel asks for a $ 100 deposit to cover a 0.35 key. If you do not have the cash, they charge a credit Card. After travelling through-out the world more than 45 years this is the first and last. I still can not believe it.

Comfy but loud

Posted May 16, 2015
We stayed here for a second time, staff was extra nice, lobby is beautiful, the room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. Unfortunately the nice people above us sounded like elephants, we could hear phones vibrate, and a guy down the hall had a cough that kept me awake. In the morning we found no shampoos or soaps in the bathroom. For the price it's decent, but I'd avoid if I didn't want people hearing anything from our room...

Great hotel, I've stayed here many times and it has always been a low cost but good hotel. Very basic but all positives.

good stop over for travelling on

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Ease of access and great rate
Cons: as there is no staff on site after 11:00, if there was an issue with noise (which there was not) there would be no one available to advise
Location: was perfect stop for driving on thru Banff
Hotel is quite basic, but clean and functional. 2 Queen sized beds and still LOTS of space in the room.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody. The worse experience we ever had.
