OK but not a great view.Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: The restaurant had good ribs and the baked beans were fantastic!
Location: Close to downtown.
The price was great but you do not have a view of the mountains and in Canmore the mountains are everywhere.!

Pleasant Stay in CanmorePosted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff. Truly pet friendly :-) Although there were noisy train tracks under our windows, the views are fantastic!
Cons: Housekeeping: room seemed fresh but the carpet was definitely "keep your socks on" condition - pet surcharge should cover regular shampooing imo.
Location: Good location - convenient parking ... close to town center and all amenities (walkable if you're energetic)
Facility in general is well appointed. Good on site facilities. Spacious convenient room. Overall a positive experience.

Very disappointedPosted Sep 19, 2014
Cons: The hotel needs a complete renovation.
Location: the hotel is squeezed between the main street and the rail line. It is close to restaurants, local attractions, Banff. It is very scenic.
The carpet in our room was very dirty. We complained to the front desk and no attempt was made to relocate us.One bed light and the kitchenette lamp were broken. We were staying for two days and had two rooms. The other room was somewhat cleaner but the light in the kitchenette was broken and the backsplash on the counter was loose. Both rooms looked very tired overall. Upon check out the manager told us that he was personally cleaning the carpets and apologized that he hadn't gotten around to cleaning ours. there were other rooms available. This Hotel is poorly run and I would not recommend it.

Wouldn't stay here againPosted Sep 9, 2014
Cons: Not really
Location: Better places to eat around the hotel
The hotel needs a lot of work. The carpets haven't been cleaned in years. Walked into our room and there were stains on the couch and on the floor. The sink in the bathroom took forever to drain. The pillows are small and very uncomfortable. The beds were no better. The cleaning people didn't take out the garbage and we never got a restock of coffee for the next morning. The restaurant that is attached to the hotel was very slow. There was only one waitress working. The pool was so cold you couldn't go in it. The hot tub was the opposite it was way too hot. Not a nice place to stay.

good locationPosted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: the location
Cons: they need to do some major cleaning & updating
Location: downtown had some good shopping & lots of places to eat
First of all we weren't able to check in till 4PM and after driving for 6hrs that was a little disappointing. Upon entering our room noticed right off the bat that the carpets were filthy and hadn't been vacuumed as I picked up dog food & crumbs on carpet & tables. The mini fridges door wouldn't close because of ice build up, thankfully they did replace that within hours, the carpets never were vacuumed the entire stay. The restaurant was okay...very limited menu...service soso.

Awesome area!Posted Aug 31, 2014
We love staying in Canmore. This was our first time at the Quality Chateau. The hotel is very impressive on arrival. The room was nice but there were some drawbacks. We had toilet trouble and were told sometimes they don't flush if other rooms near you flush at the same time. Weird! Also, the wifi was horrible, which when we asked the first day the response was "Well, it works for everyone else!" Not very helpful. The next day we were told that I devices don't work well with their system. Something they maybe should look into fixing. Overall, we liked the place was ok but the staff could surely use some work!
