Great hotel

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Rooms are spacious, mini kitchen is perfect when travelling with children. Difficult to find parking later in the night, lots of crew trucks/trailers quadruple parked. Breakfast buffet was delicious.

Greatly recommended for Budget travellers

Posted Jun 24, 2015
We had an awesome stay at this hotel. For just about 35 min. drive to the glacier lakes, this is a great deal than staying within the Banff area which are very expensive. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained. They offer full breakfast at a discounted rate for hotel guests. Breakfast includes omelletes, waffles, bacon etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

next to train tracks

Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: clean, affordable
Good value hotel, but in the first hour of being at the hotel, 5 different trains passed just meters outside my room. I asked to be moved to the other side of the hotel and the staff was reluctant at first and wanted to charge me an additional cost for the room. Eventually they made the change at no cost. The other side of the hotel was quite and I enjoyed the remainder of my stay. One side of the hotel they refer to as "trail side" but was not clear if that is the train or non train side but might want to check when booking.

Our hotel as many others does back onto the train tracks, and unfortunately we have no control over the frequency of the trains. We do have rooms that face the road side that are quieter, but do sell for a minimal upgrade fee. We are pleased that our staff moved you to the road side and you found good value during your stay. For your future booking, please request the road side of the hotel for a quieter stay.

Decent hotel if you want to safe money.

Hotel is all right. The main entrance is a bit difficult to find and the signs to the main entrance is not always visible. The hotel is build right beside a train track so there will be some noise.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us. Yes our hotel as well as others, do back onto the train tracks, however selecting a room on the road side ensures you a quiet sleep We have endeavoured this year to put as much signage up as we can to show locations of lobby and front desk.

Probably the best deal in Canmore

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: The price and cleanliness.
Cons: A good portion of people who come to Canmore bring very expensive bicycles with them to ride. A better/safer bike storage option could be nice.
Great hotel, even has a huge waterslide which we did not use. I like the train noise, so you better not mind that if you plan on staying on the side by the tracks. We were up for some cycling/hiking and it was the best price by far for the King bed room.

Seen better days and Right by the train tracks

Posted Jun 12, 2015
The hotel was okay but clearly had seen better days. In our room there was a biggish stain on the carpet and our light fixture in the bathroom was loose. Our room looked out onto train tracks and co rail trains went by several times per overnight. The highlight was the hot tub and pool. Both were in good condition. The staff were pleasant.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your room during your recent stay with us. Our front desk would have been happy to move you to another room if you had requested that. We are glad that you had the opportunity to use our hot tub and pool and you enjoyed our staff.

Wrong Billing and Bad Door Key Card

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: Need to improve.
Cons: Better management and more communication with Expedia is needed
Location: Fine.
The first invoice was far more than stated in Expedia's booking, we have to fight for the right figure. The Door Key Card did not work, we have to go down a few times to get things right. The consumable items were not replaced in full for whatever we used.

Walking Distance to Downtown Canmore

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: The area of the hotel I was in (West block) was very quiet.
Cons: Available parking for guests in the west block.
Location: Within walking distance to the downtown area, there is just behind the hotel to Safeway, Save-on-foods and Canadian Tire.
The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. I wish there had been a tub in the bathroom instead of just a shower. Parking was very difficult upon returning to the hotel after an event late Saturday night. I ended up parking on the other side of the hotel (after circuling the hotel three times) and walking back to my building. I believe there was an event going on in the conference center. Overall I would reccomend this hotel to friends.

Comfortable room

Posted May 25, 2015
Cons: The food from the buffet breakfast wasn't what we expected, and we were asked to pay before we ate without knowing the quality of the food.
A nice comfortable room with a pretty nice view. The room had what we needed for a pleasant stay. We arrived in the evening, so we didn't spend much time in the area. The hotel was quite busy with large tour group and children running up and down the halls.
