Bad Staff Attitude

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Staff responded to concerns that problem not with facilities but with guests.

good location, easy to find.

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: The only thing we liked about this hotel was it's location.
Cons: Rooms had a old musky odor, old tube tv with red faces we could hardly watch, no clock/radio, shower/tub floors dirty, no air conditioner, NEEDS work.
Location: Good location. Did not have time for anything else.
This hotel was easy to find. Generally not pleased with the conditions of rooms.

Just fair

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Rooms are big
Cons: Hotel can do with some updating its facilities. Staff can also show some care by interacting with lodgers
Location: Location is by the road which is not bad but the look both outside and inside are nothing but impressive,
Hotel is old and lack good maintenance. The hotel can surely do with some updating.

Pros: happy that the room has a kitchenette - stove, utensils
Location: location - close to gas station and tim hortons.
Place needs refurbishing. Nice wooden lodge but looks rundown. Good shower though. For a quick overnite stay - it's ok.

Holiday Stay

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: We didn't see all of the hotel. Just the room we were in.
Cons: Beds, curtains and updated furniture. Our chairs were very outdated and didn't match,
Location: The location was good, close to the highway exit to B.C. and close to restaurants and the downtown area.
We booked the Rundle Mountain last minute. The room we got was listed as a cabin. It was actually a room on the second story of an outside building. It was small and the decor was hap hazard. Bed was uncomfortable, curtains hanging off the rod, no clock, and the noise level between rooms loud enough to prevent sleeping comfortabley. We could hear every word that was said next door. We felt it was overpriced for what we got.

Good enough for "just-for-sleeping" purposes

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Mountain view. Accesibility. Location.
Cons: New and fresh smelling bedsheets, linens, and pillowcases can surely help to compromise for the old smell of the place
Rundle Mountain Lodge is an old hotel that's good enough for the price for tourists/travellers who only need a place to sleep after a tiring day of exploring Banff's National Park. Everything looks old, feels old, and smells old, but the whole family was always in a hurry to go in the morning, and was very tired at the end of the day to even mind the hotel's aging state.

Run down hotel

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Clean
Cons: General condition of the building, add air conditioner
Location: Close to gas station, fast food restorans
No air conditioner, too hot to sleep even though temperature during the day was only 19. Terrible strong smell of air freshener. TV was not working.
