NOISY!!!!!!

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: not much...see above
Cons: SOUND PROOF THE ROOMS!!!!!
It's unfortunate that the hotel was built with more attention to amenities than sound proofing. Not only could I heart the woman in the next room talking to someone on her cell phone, I could hear the person she was talking to, talking to her. We were also able to "enjoy" their choice of television programming until they determined we should be allowed to go to sleep. Of all the hotels we stayed in on our three week trip, this was the absolute worst as far as getting a reasonable nights sleep.

Nice Canmore Hotel

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Well, it's Canmore - the place does not get much nicer - this hotel is good, we had a great room, amazing view - and was quiet, but we were there midweek. The price was the best we could find for peak season, with a king bed. We would stay again for sure.

Hard to get to but nice stay

Stayed for one night on our way through to kelowna. Nice hotel with friendly staff. The hot tub was under construction because summer is their slow time I am guessing. Nice and clean room. Enjoyed our stay

Nice hotel close to Banff

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: convenient location, full kitchen, private Landry, nice view.
Cons: In such a nice suit, it would make it much more attractive if the sofa bed is livable
Location: Canmore itself is a great place to stay. It is only 20 min from Banff
We had great experience at this hotel. Nice value for a family of four at highly scenic area. However, the sofa bed at living room is not comfortable to sleep in. We put it on the floor so that two kids do not roll into each other during their sleep. It is not really suitable for a bed.

Great suite with breathtaking views

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Very comfortable one bedroom suite with amazing views facing the mountain ranges of the "3 sisters side". The suite design is zen and luxurious and has everything for us to be comfortable. We especially enjoyed the mountain views from the bed and large balcony with fantastic views of the rockies.

Special Anniversary Trip Damp and Disappointing

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: The room had a great bathroom with a very large, deep soaker tub.
Cons: Staff need a brain.
Location: Lots to do in Canmore-Banff area. Great restaurants - highly recommend 'The Trough' and 'Habitat'. Walking-hiking trails right in town of Canmore.
Our hotel room had no balcony, no view, no climate control and was next to the restaurant and public washrooms - very noisy. Our view was an unkempt patch of grass drowning with weeds and a view to the overflow, outdoor space for the restaurant. When we asked to be moved we were treated rudely and only offered a room with a smaller bed (and a murphy bed at that - nothing like having to move furniture so you can access your bed on your anniversary). The issue at this hotel is under trained staff who obviously have no authority to make a decision or simply choose not to. There were plenty of empty rooms in the hotel (albeit not in our room category of King bedroom) but staff could have chosen the high road and upgraded my wife and I into an empty one or two bedroom suite. I even tipped front desk staff $20 upon check-in and said -'this is our anniversary trip so thanks in advance for treating us right'. I had also booked this trip through expedia way back in March so getting a bad room assignment is totally unacceptable. Don't stay here! There are plenty of other hotels and resorts in Canmore that I suspect treat their customers better.

Great place to stay!

We had a great stay at Silver Creek. My first time in the Rockies. Beautiful views from the balcony. We had a spacious suite for two nights and the room was beyond our expectations. We didn't want to leave! Will definitely be returning on our next trip to the Rockies!

Kidless vacation

Posted Jun 9, 2014
We decided upon Silvercreek because it looked a little bit more adult orientated but in the end we could see us bringing our children there. It had adults only elements to it but the hotel staff and the facility was all child friendly. Obviously well behaved children, its not a let your child run loose place. Hailey our server, at the Wild Orchid restaurant (in the hotel) was amazing, She was super friendly and really fun to be around. The rooms were spectacular just wish we didn't get ground floor. But meh, it still had great views of the mountains.

Great stay

Was a clean modern hotel and great location. The beds weren't the most comfortable but for one night it was manageable.
