Pleasant stayPosted Sep 14, 2014
Cons: Breakfast service. Music options in room.
Location: There are numerous restaurants; also bus stops for regional transit to Banff are nearby. Hiking opportunities, too.
We stayed in a 4th floor room, King bed, mountain veiw and small living room area with Microwave and refrigerator. Because we experienced an unusual September snowstorm during our stay, we spent more time in our room than expected, and we also went to the Wild Orchid restaurant on two different nights. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and we appreciated the good cooking and healthy ingredients in the Wild Orchid menu items.

I need this shower!Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Beds very comfortable, soothing decor, great restaurant, awesome bathroom!
Cons: The parking was underground and signage a bit unclear to get to the elevators. The space was shared by other businesses/personal storage units.
We chose the Silver Creek Lodge as a one-night stopover between Canada and Montana the first week of September. The hotel has easy access on and off the main highway between Banff and Calgary. We really enjoyed the Wild Orchid Asian Bistro. Food was excellent and the wait staff very good. The rooms have high ceilings, giving them a spacious feel, and the bathroom could have come out of a designer magazine, with slate tiles and raised sink basins. I would love to transport it to my home! Will definitely stay here again.

We booked online during our travel much to our surprise on arrival we were up graded to a one room suite it was heavenly first floor top shelf accommodation it was beautiful . The hot tub was not working properly (stuff happens) the only thing I would suggest is a large sign on the road below because the neighbour businesses not so helpful to find you place :) I would tell all my friends

A great suite in beautiful CanmorePosted Aug 17, 2014
This was a privately owned condo in the hotel. Two comfortable bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living. Two large bathrooms. Plenty of room for our group of five. A nicely appointed kitchen but it could have used more cookware like a non stick frying pan. The stainless steel wok style pan was terrible and everything stuck to it and it was impossible to clean. Had to get some scrubbing pads and more soap from house keeping. Other than that it was a lovely spot and would stay there again.

Good place to stayPosted Aug 11, 2014
We stayed in 1 bedroom apartment. Very sufficient. It has a kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. The room is a little bit dark (as some pot-lights did not work) but still OK. The light in the washroom has a dimmer, but it did not work, so the light comes to the bedroom at night, which is not that comfortable. Air conditioner is very quiet. The hotel has underground parking with very comfortable highway access. I think it has to improve the cleaning service as some places (like door panels) are very dusty...

Not a chance we will go back:(Posted Aug 10, 2014
The rooms were great- however NOT SOUND PROOF AT ALL- my husband and I stayed for 3 nights at approx 300.00( tx inc) and I was furious at the fact room 213 were the party room from hell- across from us- as well as other rooms down the hall. I addressed the noise to the room but it didn't halt the noise at 3:30 in the morning- at 4:40 or 5:30- in other words - no sleep There was no night staff after 11 so really ..... I had no idea what to do and was ready to call the police- When I explained this to the front desk in the morning, it wasn't taken seriously As a matter of fact- I was told THAT ITS NOT THE HOTELS ISSUE AS THOSE PEOPLE RENT THE CONDO- wait, not ur issue? I slept maybe 3 hours- and it's not the hotels issue- huh Apparently I should have contacted security- lol No- I should have been able to contact a front desk staff to deal with the situation. After communicating with the front desk- she offered a discount which I accepted - since we didn't sleep due to guests in their hotel- And lack of night staff It was a slap in the face to get a refund of 29.13 on a almost 300.00 night - what was that? I will never stay in this place again for the lack of sound proof- I could hear every step taken upstairs and I would never suggest booking on the 2 floor!!!!!!

Nice hotel right off the highwayPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: A glass door near the short hallway near the elevator would help to minimize noise. A stairwell from the main floor to parking garage.
Location: The town center has some quaint stores as well as a Safeway. We ate at Famosa Pizza which was very good.
Very clean and comfortable which are the two main things I need in a hotel! The hotel restaurant was closed the 2 days we were there due to a folk festival going on in Canmore. There were a couple of decent breakfast places located nearby so it was not an issue. Our room was located right near the elevator which was fairly noisy until 2 in the morning. Once we realized the stand-up fan could block the noise level, we slept great!

NOISY!!!!!!Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: not much...see above
Cons: SOUND PROOF THE ROOMS!!!!!
It's unfortunate that the hotel was built with more attention to amenities than sound proofing. Not only could I heart the woman in the next room talking to someone on her cell phone, I could hear the person she was talking to, talking to her. We were also able to "enjoy" their choice of television programming until they determined we should be allowed to go to sleep. Of all the hotels we stayed in on our three week trip, this was the absolute worst as far as getting a reasonable nights sleep.
