Can't wait to come back.

Pros: It is very clean and modern. The balcony and barbecue were great and also the double sided fireplace and two flat screen TVs.
Cons: The lighting was very dim in all the rooms, especially the bathroom.
We absolutely loved our room. We could have stayed for weeks if we had wanted to. The room had everything included. Washer and dryer and barbecue and a full kitchen. The shower was awesome, too. Compared to Banff the price was very reasonable.

Nice Hotel in Canmore

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Nice decor and cleanliness.
Location: It was at the end of Canmore but was about 5 minutes away from Canmore main strip. Easy access to highway to Banff!
This was a good hotel for a last minute booking. The place was fantastic! Great stay at the hotel! Loved it and would definitely go back!

All you need right there

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: everything
Cons: -
Location: there is a save on foods nearby, hope we knew that earlier!
It was really good. I totally recommend it to those who need a rest at home in the middle of days of traveling. We were two families traveling together with an infant each. We took a really good rest at this hotel. We had a home cooked dinner, surprisingly the hotel had everything we needed for cooking and making ourselves a home, even a wine cellar! We did all our laundry, there was a grill for barbeque, and a really luxurious yet cozy bedroom. I am absolutely going back!

Really nice resort in the mountains

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: We loved the view, and the shower. It was decorated very nicely.
Cons: There was way to much heat in the P3 elevator lobby.and smell coming from hydraulics in bow lodge.
Location: Close to a national park, so lots to do.
We stayed 2 nights, all amenities were close by, staff were very friendly, room was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend to friends. We did find cheerios behind the bedroom door, that had been there for awhile, so left note for housekeeping and was cleaned the next day. Also asked for extra sugar for coffee, on that same note, and we received none. This was a bit disappointing, considering the price per night, but will definitely stay again.

Great condo / hotel close to downtown Canmore

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Stayed at the Solara Resort and Spa with my 4 kids on a recent trip to Canmore. We had some delay getting checked in because our room wasn't cleaned yet. But the second time we stopped in to see if it was ready the front desk girl did some switching and upgraded us to the bigger suite with no extra charge. Hotels don't make a great trip, but a bad experience can put a damper on what could be a great trip. And the kids, ages 14-7 all loved the room. Was very impressed with the hotel staffs willingness to make sure we enjoyed our stay, and help us have a positive stay even though we were 3 hours late getting into the hotel on day 1.Highly recommend larger families to stay in one of the 2 bedroom suites, and that has everything your house does as far as a full kitchen and BBQ on the deck. We didn't eat every meal there by any stretch, but did save Dad a few dollars by not having to eat out every meal 3 times a day. My 7 and 9 year old were disappointed by the pool. Knew from the pictures its wasn't a big pool, but if you have kids that live in the water like my youngest 2 the wading pool and play area was fun for about 30 minutes and then they were bored. For youngers kids yet it would be perfect. As far as being in heart of the Canadian Rockies, and being able to experience that and everything Canmore has to offer, it was a great hotel and will stay there again my next trip that way. And Banff, Kanaskis and Lake Louise all a short drive away.

Best hotel I have EVER stayed at.

Great location. Not as busy as downtown Banff but still only about 10 minute drive to downtown Banff. A Sobeys and Canadian Tire near by. Restaurants and liquor stores nearby. Free underground parking with storage rooms for larger items such as bikes, etc. Hotel was extremely clean and has everything you would want. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, full kitchen. Balcony with great view of mountains with patio set and BBQ grill. There was even dish washing liquid and laundry detergent. Will definitely come back here again.

Solara Resort and Spa August 2014

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Nearly everything - they need to live up to what they market their facility as providing to customers.
Location: We frequent Canmore/Banff area several times every year. We partake in outdoor sporting - hiking, bicycling, Nordic Centre, skiing, swimming, canoe
The room was clean upon arrival. Marketing and in-room literature described the suite as condo style rental, complete with dishes, cooking utensils, starter size dish and laundry soap, linens, etc. Basic room upkeep daily to include making beds, tidying and replacing used towels and garbage removal. We had a sum total of 1 salad plate, three bowls, minimal cutlery and cooking/serving dishes. Our room wasn't ever tended to - we did not have any dish soap nor kitchen linens to wipe counters or wash dishes, etc. The entire suite was overheated with no A/C to cool things off for sleeping. Staff was sparse and grossly undertrained at best. This suite was far too expensive for mediocre amenities and daily upkeep! Will not go back, will not recommend to others! Very disappointing.
