Enjoyable stay beautiful suites.

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Spacious rooms. Staff responded quickly when requests were made. For example I requested a high chair and with in five minutes it was delivered.
Cons: We did not receive room service and you expect your bed to be made when paying over 300 a night. I was disappointed but assume it was an oversight.
Over all it was a good experience. Would have loved to stay longer and would return again.

Exceeded expectations

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Modern, well taken care of, luxurious.
Cons: Towel bar by the shower.
Location: Our favorite trip was the beautiful icefield parkway.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer place! From the full kitchen with granite countertops to the plush king size bed and the fireplaces in the living room and bedroom, everything was in excellent condition and classy. We also enjoyed the spa and wading pool. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the suite and amenities!

Visit while you still can

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: All of the courtesies: bikes to rent, underground parking, carts to carry up your luggage, laundry, kitchen utensils.
Cons: Ask whether or not you want housekeeping when you check in. There was some dust under the chairs. Not all of the instructional manuals were there.
Location: 18 minute walk from downtown. Located just after the roundabout. Away from restaurant noise, but close enough to walk there.
We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom for a weekend of luxury. The room is set up for most things. There were a couple of things that we noticed. We didn't get any house cleaning for the second day. I think they only do it if you make a request. As a result, we needed to call down to housekeeping for extra towels and coffee. The ice machine didn't work and the wine cooler wasn't plugged in. That said, they are very popular, because they are so nice. King sized beds, granite counters, special jets in the tubs, all the kitchen suppies that you could need, stainless steel appliances. The list goes on and on. They are being sold to individuals as condos. They are ninety percent sold, because they show so well. So if you want a weekend getaway retreat with another couple or some relatives, this is it. There is enough space for everyone to have privacy, but there is also enough area for you to have a comfortable visit. We hope to be back again, before they are all sold out.

Beautiful resort hotel with mountain views.

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: The suite size and all amenities were great.
Cons: Fireplaces were a phones looking electric type, gas would have been much nicer.
Location: Near mountains for hiking, biking, skiing. Near resort town of Canmore and short ride to Banff. Beautiful area.
Beautiful suite, full kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances. Enclosed patio with table and grill. We were comfortable and had plenty of room. Staff were friendly and helpful with all requests and enquiries. Drive, bicycle or walk to nearby town of Canmore. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Solara for couples and families.

Nice hotel but below standard service

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Construction and rooms are constructed to first class standards. Very large suites with full appliances etc. Washer and drier in room. View is great.
Cons: A) Some housekeeping standards would be nice. Cleaning rooms when asked svp B) A restaurant bar
Location: Canmore is scenic with plenty of night life.
Although the facilities are well done and are at a premium rate, housekeeping service was very poor. Rooms were not cleaned nor beds made during our stay. Housekeeping is not to a hotel standard. In fact, other than emptying the garbage, nothing was done during our stay. We asked for new towels and got none. We ran out of toilet paper because they don't seem to restock during the stay. There is no restaurant in this Hotel and no room service. Disappointing.
