“Great Hotel”
One of the grandest hotels in which I have ever stayed. Customer service was great and the rooms were incredible. Views of the mountains were breathtaking. The restaurants were expensive, but that's to be expected in a hotel of this caliber.
“Great Hotel”
Beautiful hotel and grounds. Everyone was pleasant and very helpful. Due to the fact that the complex is huge, make sure to get a map of the hotel at check-in.
“Banff Springs beauty”
This hotel lived up to its reputation. It had plenty of old world character, the views were stupendous, and the indoor pool was one of the nicest we have ever seen. The restaurants, though a little expensive, were well worth the price. Location wise, it was off by itself, about a mile away from the town's main drag, but we enjoyed the walk.
“Unpretentious rugged opulence nestled among heavenly scenery”
We stayed at this hotel from 1/8/09 to 1/12/09. It is top notch and probably one of the best in which we have stayed. What makes it such, aside from the obvious gorgeous decor and surroundings, is the service level and attitude of the staff - warm and attentive. It is also a classy hotel that works well with the casual environment of Banff. In short, you may wear your jeans with abandon in most sections of the hotel - a few restaurants with dress codes being the exception. The hotel seems to take great pains to train staff in customer service. When relaxing in the Rundle Lounge, the staff always asked for the room number. From that point on, we were addressed by our names. In fact, the hotel staff possess an uncanny knack for sensing their guests' needs and responding. We had a ski instuctor track us down in the building to just inquire how our ski lessons had gone that day. We had been pretty discouraged until he found us and sat down and chatted with us about our technique. Of special note is the gold floor staff who were always ready to help us with tours or various other requests. There wasn't a day that they didn't wear a smile and sunny disposition.
“In the style of the grand lodges of old”
i've stayed at this hotel several times and the Banff Springs is never one to disappoint. The best feature is the dreamy Willow Stream Spa, if you have time for nothing else at least do the baths, they are awesome with a gorgeous view of the Canadian Rockies. Breathtaking all around. Plus it has great restaurants (my favorite is the wine bar Grapes.) It's a landmark within Banff, and for good reason.
“Castle in the Rockies”
if you want to be royalty for a short time.....go to the Banff Springs!!
“Worth the cost”
Lots of places to stay in Banff, and this is one of the pricier options. But, it well worth the expense. Fairly easy to get to and from town, especially using the bus system. Lots of eating options in town -- although the food at the hotel is quite good. Pool is a bit of a hassle to use -- sign in process and change room. The site and the property are fantastic.
“A stellar stay in a hotel styled after a Scottish Castle”
This is a fabulous place to stay! I wondered if we would end up with a room with a view of a fire escape since it was a discounted room, but not so! It was in the front of the building overlooking a broad circle of flowers with a sweeping view of the mountains! Wow!
“A wonderful castle in the mountains”
This is a world class hotel in a beautiful setting and with great service. This hotel is worth a vist even if you are not a guest of the hotel. It is especially beautiful at Christmas. This was our third stay and it was very good as always. The hotel is proud of its long history and the pictures through out the hotel show that pride.
“Charming: This is Harry Potter's castle!”
This is Harry Potter's castle! Absolutely found the hotel charming in every way. Views were spectacular, the castle was a joy to roam around.
