“The most beautiful place on earth!!!”
Just be sure to spend the extra couple bucks for the lakeview room. Spectacular!! The ride in from Calgary was not bad at all. No scary cliffside roads. And once you get up to Lake Louise....WOW!!! Hotel service was excellent for us, but we were there during their slow season, so we got alot of attention. Overall, beautiful, luxurious and quiet place. We enjoyed our anniversary very much here!!
“Good hotel, but it could be less expensive.”
Good hotel, but it could be less expensive, specially don't charge the parking.
“Best Service We've Ever Experienced!”
We were absolutely enthralled by the world-class view from our room. The amenities were extensive, and the service was outstanding. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and can't wait to take our (adult) children!
“breath taking views”
View was beaurtiful -liked it better than banff fairmont- a little cozier- food prices expensive but overall magnificent!
“Expensive, but good location”
The good: - clean rooms - great location, fancy looking hotel - great service - good chocolate croissants in the bakery The bad: - the hot tub and pool were old/dirty, and has a view to a parking deck - inconsistent hot water in the shower - bay windows are only for restaurant customers - no free wifi - no free parking Our friends stayed at the Post Hotel and Spa, they had bigger rooms, free wifi, and complimentary coffee/tea/fruit every day. The post didn't have a great view, but the parking was free, the rooms were clean, and the pool area was much more clean/modern. The fairmont was ok, but given the choice, we'd stay at the Post next visit.
“The Best EVER!”
We could not have asked for any better accommodations! The staff was the friendliest and most helpful. Our concierge was absolutely awesome! The food was wonderful. Overall a wonderful place to stay. Will most definitely go back, hopefully sooner rather than later.
“Love Hate Relationship with Chateau Lake Louise”
The location of this hotel is incomparable. The view from our room (both the first, uncomfortable, and the second, just fine) was gorgeous. That said, being at the Chateau is more like being on a cruise ship than staying at a destination resort. I understand the hordes of families and busloads of tourists who come to take in the lovely view, maybe spending only one night, or just there for an hour or two. But the impact on guests who want to relax is unfortunate. On our second night we could not sit in the bar, either inside or out on the patio, without a reservation! The idea that you can pay so much money and not find a quiet place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine at 5 pm or 6 pm seems ridiculous to me. Obviously, summer is not the time to visit. Since we are avid hikers, it was also not the most pleasant experience to hike with a gazillion other people to the adjacent look-outs. I get it -- everyone should have access to this lovely place and we go to plenty of remote locations. On the plus side, when I complained about our room after the first night, they immediately moved us to a nicer room. The staff are all professional and friendly.
“a good hotel”
we got a one king size bed suite with a sofa bed suite. we have three people including a kid, so we are ok. It has jacuze and separate shower, which are nice. several things are not satisfied. first, no enough towels. second, dinning place are limited. we can not walk and get a seat for dinner at 9 pm. it was closed. you need to book a reservation asap. Hotel was 10-15 min away from the village where more resturants are. Third, don't order an imported beer. I was charged 10 for beer and another 10 for imported alcohol. I feel it was ripped. this was at the basement resturant/bar. The waitress was rude, and want to keep all the changes even if you give a hundred dollars for 70 dinner. She did not go back to cashier for change. She just took out some changes to you. Overall, it is ok if you want to have an experience at a luxury hotel. However, you can choose a nearby one with cheap rate and get up earlier to enjoyed the sun rising of the astonishing lake.
“TOTALLY LOVED IT !!!!!!!!!!”
we visited the Chateau 15 years ago during a brief visit to the area... We walked the grounds and enjoyed the beauty of everything... Since that time, it has been my dream to at least spend one night there... This summer my dream was realized... We planned our vacation to the Canadian Rockies and were able to include a stay at the Chateau... Not only one night... but THREE nights... which included a complimentary upgrade to a lakeview room... I was totally thrilled that my dream from the past 15 years ago came true. My husband and I loved every minute of our stay there. All of the staff were above and beyond our expectations.. At dinner they called us by name. We were always treated with the utmost respect and kindness by all the staff at the Chateau. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to go back again !!!!
“Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise - my son's favourite during the whole trip to Jasper and Banff”
Guess I don't have to say anything about the surrounding - you won't find a more beautiful lake than Lake Louise and a better situated hotel than Fairmont, it was after all magical experience. The room we booked is a suite with a small foyer and a big living room (roughly 100 sqt feet). The room is beautifully and tastefully decorated, with all the modern comforts - premium TV, fridge, the most comfortable bed and linens, oh and my son's favorite thing, a big jacuzzi. We all loved it, too bad we only stayed for one night. I will definitely go back again some time.
