A real find in Banffy

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: The layout of the rooms, the staff at reception
Location: Close to town but located conveniently to all attractions and restaurants.
This was a great place to stay close to Banff. The room was great, very clean and comfortable. The amenities-breakfast, hot tub, lounge and free bus passes were all first class. The desk staff were especially knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful hotel for not being in the downtown core

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Staff was wonderful. Hotel had all the amenities I needed which included breakfast, clean room with nice soap, shampoo, etc, gym, hot tub, free bus cards, bike rentals, etc. I did notice that they didn't clean my bathroom very well after the second day, but it was still relatively clean. It was also hot at sometimes as our room is air controlled and not air conditioned.

A great place to stay in Banff

Posted Jul 14, 2014
A very good quality, clean and well maintained hotel. Very good value for your money (could be a little cheaper but it's Banff, and it's July). Breakfast is simple but decent. We had a 2 level suite on the top (4th) floor with a large balcony and with an absolutely fantastic view of the mountains. Very pleasant and professional front desk staff. Underground parking. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back!

Banff hotel

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Location: Banff is a great town. My family loved it there. Lots to do and see close by. Small but not too small. My family enjoyed Banff more than Jasper.
Nice hotel at the end of the strip area in Banff. Very pretty and well-maintained. They have a Chili's and the best breakfast buffet we had on our trip to the Banff/Lake Louise/Jasper area. Small double beds and bathroom were the only draw backs.

Small, dark motel rooms, at fancy hotel prices.

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Clean. Quiet.
Cons: The setup has your windows staring at the back of the main building, like being in a hotel with all the windows facing the hallway.
Location: Banff is a great place to visit, with most places offering great views of the mountains surrounding the town. Not this place.
Superior suite was two small dark rooms on ground floor, with all windows looking into the back of the main building. Might as well been in a cheap motel in any urban centre, with no view. Any place in Banff is probably superior to this place. A total waste of money.

Wonderful hotel walking distance to downtown

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: The grotto
Location: It is a few blocks down from the hustle and bustle of downtown but well within walking distance.
We came across The Fox a year ago and right away decided to stay again. The rooms are very nice, the service is great. The best part is the grotto an underground hot tub. There is no roof to the grotto, it opens onto the skies above the hotel.

Nice hotel. Central location. Excellent experience

Cons: Only problem- the nice pool is warm. For kids this may not be ideal.

Banff wedding guest accommodations

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: a wonderful stay!
Cons: the coffee at Chilies :(
Location: perfect everything nearby
We booked the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite for all 3 nites - we loved the accommodations, service and the hot spa/grotto plus the perfect location and expert staff [directed us to the best coffee in Banff "the Whitebark"!! at the Alpine Lodge]. Our Australian guests [groom/bride to be] were so impressed. Our family doctor had told us the Fox was the only place to stay in Banff and we agree!
