Really nice hotel right on the Banff AVenue "stripPosted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: I liked how close is was to the "downtown strip", we often walked from the Fox to the shopping area and restaurants.
Cons: Lame free breakfast, only cold boiled eggs, toast, waffles, cereals. Comfort Inn ironically offers a free hot breakfast at 1/4 the nightly cost.
Location: It's in Banff so there are many things to do..
Stayed for 4 nights; had a great time in Banff and this hotel really impressed us.

Charming and comfortable hotel if great locationPosted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: Close to restaurants & shops, far enough away from large crowds; great to have breakfast included; availability of laundry facilities a big plus
Hotel was recommended by friends. Great location and charming hotel.

Nice place to stayPosted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Staff was excellent in helping us book tours and giving us information. I didn't make it to the hot tub, but that looked fabulous!
Cons: Air conditioning would help. There was a fan in the room, but we had to leave the door open when we were in the room in order to get cool air in.
Location: Lots of tours and sights to see! Great eating places.
Staff was great. Facilities were clean. The only thing I didn't like was no air conditioning.

Great VacationPosted Jul 26, 2015
We enjoyed our stay at the Fox. Elevator was slow and there was no meat for breakfast (bacon, sausage, ham, etc), but those were minor inconveniences for such a great place. Loved the views!

Suite with a viewPosted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: The hot-water jacuzzi hit the spot after a long drive & room was great to stay in
Cons: If staff could at least explain how to use the a/c properly? A screen door on the patio would be nice to let fresh air regardless of what time it is
Location: we where in walking distance to the main-street for attractions to local pubs & eateries
After arriving from Calgary & the road being busy, we arrived at a our hotel to check in; we`re greated by friendly staff! And felt like we were being treated as a returning client, we we`re booked for a room which was smaller than what was expected; but was asked nice enough if I wanted to upgraded! Which I did we get to Banff every couple of weeks for a mini getaway for the wife to relax & enjoy

Hotel was very nice and rooms very clean! At the end of town, but that was perfect because it's away from the major foot traffic and noise but close enough to still walk to everything!

Great place to stay in Banff.Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Clean, friendly, easy to walk around Banff from hotel.
Location: We shopped at Banff, went white water rafting, took the gondola and wildlife tour.
Wonderful experience. Hotel staff was friendly, the check in was easy. The rooms are not large, but are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. This is our second time at the Fox will stay there again on our next visit to Banff.

Expensive hotel with modest value.Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: It is in a good location, and is an attractive design, and generally well maintained.
Cons: They need air conditioning!
Location: The hotel is on the main street so there are lots of restaurants and stores nearby.
We arrived in Banff in 33 C heat, and were amazed to find that our expensive hotel room had no air conditioning, and it was on the top floor so it had soaked up some sun during the day. The room was also small and didn't have a bar fridge. Only one ice machine for the whole hotel was in the parking garage. The wood frame construction allowed a lot of neighbor noise to transmit in the evening.

Nice hotel but rooms very smallPosted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Helpful staff and great breakfast
Cons: More room simply to store suitcase but was OK as we were only staying 2 nights and moving onto Calgary.
Location: Location was great for us. 10 min walk into downtown Banff where all the shops and restuarants were located.
Stayed for 2 nights. room was clean, had a plug in fan but no air conditioning. We booked 2 queen bedroom which was to sleep three adults but it was a squeeze. Breakfast was good and generally hotel was good.

Short on informationPosted Jul 11, 2015
At check in were upgraded to a suite for 40 dollars to get air conditioning but it was only in the kitchen area and the bedrooms were on the lower level [no air conditioning] furnishings are pretty worn. For the price just a fair accommodation.
