Excellent "base" to travel from!Posted Jul 26, 2015
My husband and I stayed at the Juniper Hotel for five nights and it was wonderful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel was quiet at night. We took off exploring each day to a different park and returned each evening to comfort and calm after long days of hiking and sightseeing. Our room was one with a panoramic view of the mountains, too, which was an added bonus when we returned to relax after a fun day. We would highly recommend the Juniper Hotel to anyone wanting to explore the Banff and Jasper National Parks!

iPad charger disappearedPosted Jul 25, 2015
Left iPad charging in room -I know, shouldn't have done that- When we got back the iPad was unplugged and charger missing. Didn't report it at the time because I thought my husband had taken it. But no, he hadn't touched it. Either the cleaning staff or someone with access to the room. On the bright side, the staff at the reception desk was great and the views from the room unbelievable.

Quiet LocationPosted Jul 24, 2015
Room was a little below expectations. AC didn't work, but was fixed once it was brought to their attention. Bistro had good breakfasts with excellent view.

Nice hotel with gorgeous views!Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: We loved the location and the relaxed natural décor. Loved the food at the Bistro! Our waiter was well informed about preparation and ingredients.
Cons: There wasn't a comfortable sitting area in the room but we were out and about it worked fine for us.
Location: The Juniper Hotel is close to freeway on and off ramps, quick drive to down town or up to the ski area. Nestled on a hill with fabulous views.
The hotel staff were wonderful; friendly, informed, accommodating. Our Corgi was welcomed with bowl of kibbles, water and his own bed. The Bistro had a wonderful view of Banff and surrounding mountains and valley with a choice of inside or outside dinning. Not a large menu but excellent preparation, presentation was exceptional. The hotel is just outside town nestled at the foot of a world famous ski area, Norquay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Part of our 50th Wedding Anniversary year long celebration!

Cozy charm overlooking hiwayPosted Jul 19, 2015
A very cozy cabin feel far from the dense noise on Main Street Banff. Beautiful room with picture window mountain view. No gym, dinky little hot tub and on a cliff overlooking hiway. Bring east plugs. Still a quaint place.

Booked online but did call the hotel to request a room on the quiet side of the hotel. Although the room was comfortable the highway traffic is noisy. Enjoyed a delicious gluten free breakfast in the dining room.

Nice but older hotelPosted Jul 18, 2015
Our stay at Juniper was good for the night we were there- great staff, amazing scenery and views, and REALLY awesome food. The negatives would be that the room wasn't as clean as it could have been, everything was older, and the bathroom was super small with literally no counter space.

Quiet area near BanffPosted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Modern features, such as wood flooring in the main room and tile in the bathroom. Good air conditioning system. Outdoor hot tub. Quiet area.
Cons: The restaurant is very good but is also very expensive.
Location: Close to Banff but off on its own. Good access to the highway. Regular shuttle to town.
We had a three-night stay here. It's down the road from Banff so you can get away from the crowds. You can walk, drive, or take a shuttle to town. It has a wonderful view of the mountains and Vermilion Lakes. It is next to the highway, though, so you get some noise from that.

convenient to BanffPosted Jul 7, 2015
We enjoyed our stay at the Juniper. It was convenient to Banff without being in the congestion. The air conditioning was louder than it should have been. The menu at the restaurant had very exotic items but little that was usual. No eggs benedict but many with avocado, salmon etc.
