Beautiful views service not up to snuff

Posted May 2, 2015
Pros: The lounge is great, again the views can't be beat and the lounge menu is great.
Cons: Overall service does not match the price.
Location: Five minute drive to the town of Banff, a 2 minute walk to the hot springs. Obviously close to ski hill in the winter and golf in the summer.
The hotel is situated on a cliff in the mountains; views are stunning; rooms are clean and comfortable. We have stayed at this hotel several times and notice the service level is decreasing over time. There is no turn down service, the beds themselves are hit and miss and you may have a bottle of water in the room which will cost you ten dollars. The valet staff lost our car and then insisted we must have self parked. Eventually they found the car a provided a free lunch for a 24 hour inconvenience.

Wonderful hotel in the Rockies

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Room was large and comfortable. Excellent beds, very quiet and very clean.
Cons: WiFi service was a bit unreliable. Until I payed for premium service ($5.95/day) it was not trustworthy for things like skype and netflix.
Location: Great walks just off site, near the upper hotsprings, close to the townsite.
I was attending a Conference in Banff, and had stayed at the Rimrock many years ago. I had a lovely time - the staff were excellent, the room was quiet and very comfortable. I made use of the spa and the fitness facilities, and really enjoyed every minute of my stay there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone - it's also very nice to be away from the townsite a bit, seems to provide more peace and quiet.

Great get away

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Everything!!
Cons: More childrens amenities
Location: Breath taking views!! Walking distance to hot springs and gondola
We love this hotel...our first choice in Banff. the staff are so friendly, and helpful! When we got to the hotel, we had to change rooms. In the room we had booked, we had also requested a microwave. We forgot to tell the front staff to transfer the microwave, but it didn't matter, they sent it to the room right away, without being asked! The views are breath taking, and the shuttle bus is very convenient to town! Nothing bad to say! Stayed there with out 2 young kids, who loved the hotel too!

Quite good

Pros: Next to Banff Gondola, hot spring.
Cons: The car needs some improvement on management.
Location: Banff Gondola, hot spring, 5 minutes drive to Banff town
The room is quite comfortable. It's spacious and most important, has a very comfortable bed. After a long day of hiking or other activity, it's good to recharge on this comfortable bed. The location is also good, not far from the the town while gondola is as close as 3 minutes walk.

Not worth the money

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: the restaurant
Cons: Most things .... it's a three star at best
Location: Nothing nearby, there is a bus that takes you to and from town
First impressions count ... on arrival your greeted by a door man whose suit is badly fitting, shabby and his boots have never seen polish. Room was smaller than advertised, was dated, did not get two queen beds as booked, asked for something at reception and never got it ....

every thing was great except for people walking through the pool area with street shoes to an outside exit (a short cut for staffers?) at least that's what I observed so the floor was dirty and that got tracked into the change rooms the elevators could have been cleaner also location good food good

Easter weekend

Pros: We like the location and the service that the staff provides.
Cons: The change rooms in the pool area are great, but there should be a family change room as well.
The hotel service was exceptional. Whenever we had a concern or an issue to address the hotel staff dealt with it in a quick and efficient manner.
