Nice but we can do better.

Posted Sep 19, 2014
The hotel is newer but its also a condo so be aware of this. The room I had was clean but very small and had no fridge in it. The TV had full cable but the cable box was just hanging there from under the TV (buy a shelf!). You can hear the Trans-Canada highway at night as its right next to it. Deterioration of this hotel could occur if more care is not applied via ownership. Overall... I will stay in hotel-hotel next time.

Didn't worth what I paid

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Staff was nice and I enjoyed the breakfast
Cons: Please fix the fire place and replace the knife and cutting board
Location: Walking trail near downtown was good. The small shops were fun.
The fire place didn't work. I told the staff, but it wasn't fixed on the same day so we had to stay without using the fire place. The heat wasn't working either; it looked like it was set at a certain temperature. The fire place didn't work and the heat wouldn't go any higher so we had a very cold night. The knife was very dull like a butter knife! It couldn't cut anything. The cutting board was very small, old and worn out. They seriously need to change the knife and cutting board. The staff was nice and the view from the room was beautiful, but some facilities mentioned above disappointed us a lot.

Convenient to town and restaurants.

I probably will not use Expedia in the future. The last several times I booked with Expedia, the hotel gave me the absolute worst room they had. Tiny, next to a loud elevator, etc. I'm sure I got the crapy rooms because I paid a little less than the going rate. Not worth it!

Very Disappointing

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Nil
Cons: Front desk staff / room facilities / breakfast staffing
We arrived at about 3:15 PM but were told the room was not ready. We didn't get into the room until 4:15 PM. And the room was small without any chair. Can you imagine? We had to sit on the bed all the time. Furthermore, there was not air conditioning. As a result, the toilet in the bathroom kept sweating and the water wetted the floor all around. Front desk staff were not very helpful neither friendly. The other morning, the inclusive breakfast was a mess. Terribly busy without enough staff. People had to wait for food and drink from time to time. Very bad experience with it. Won't consider to come back again.

Dinner in Canmore

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Loved the room, the balcony and the view. Checking in was a breeze and check out was even faster.
Cons: More supervision in the lounge. Our bartender was sharing remnants of a drink with another staff member in front of patrons.
Location: Walking, shopping, and many options for dining. Our main goals was a great steak dinner and we were not disappointed.
We only stayed over one night, in on Sunday and out on Monday. It was quiet - did not hear a lot of noise from the hallways which is not always the case in hotels. We had a one bedroom suite and it was nice to have the option of glassware, mugs and having the clean-up supplies available was also convenient. Would recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

Nice hotel, conveniently located.

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Cozy and clean
Cons: Restaurant - needs a good cook and one more waiter.
Location: Canmore city center is near.
Accomodation was very comfortable, but restaurant is a miserable experience!
