"Beautiful hotel with horrible service "
Amazing castle with breathtaking views! Downside - the worst service you can imagine. I'm talking employees forgetting to move your bags, rooms not being ready by guaranteed check in time, moving rooms throughout the stay because the system does not allow to merge reservations, etc. rooms are small and have tiny windows but everything else is nice. To be fair service is really bad everywhere in Banff so this hotel is not exception, despite being a luxury property

"nice breakfast included"
We had a two level suit, which is living room upstairs, bedroom downstairs. It was a good fit for us since my husband was traveling and need to work a little. He can start his day early working upstairs while we are sleeping downstairs.

"Decent hotel in great location"
Hotel is a well established hotel in an awesome/handy location close to the river, shopping, dining and nightlife. It had comfortable bedding and was very clean. It is, however, getting very dated in the furnishings and overall appearance. I was not happy with the pay parking, overpriced pay WiFi and complete lack of air conditioning.

Resort is located outside Banff so you must drive to enjoy any of the activities the town has to offer. Construction on new lobby area was underway so many construction vehicles in and around main entrance. Condo we had was small but fit the needs of 2 guests.

"Weekend in Banff "
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Hidden Ridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Accomodation for two persons was on the ground floor and not as expansive as for larger parties. But all facilities were there and everything was very clean. We had a minor problem with the bath and someone was around in 10 minutes to fix it - excellent service. Overall the resort is well planned and appealing. Parking at street level is difficult at times but there is adequate parking in an underground parkade - better as it was very hot. A real swimming pool as well as hot and cold tubs would be a bonus.

The hotel is well situated to town without being in the middle of it. The lobby had the lodge feel we were hoping for and the hot pool was a great way to relax after a day of hiking and sightseeing. The staff were friendly and helpful, the wifi connection was very good. The room was a little crowded because of all the furnishings and there is no individual temperature control for the room. The thermostat says "heat only", but the heat had been turned off to the hotel for the season.
