Banff Park Museum hotels in Banff National Park, Alberta

Recommended: The Mount Royal is an older hotel but well-maintained. It appears to cater to travel groups. It is very well-located in downtown Banff with free parking so you can walk just about anywhere in town you wish to go. Our room was more than satisfactory. It was fairly large and while somewhat simply decorated, it was well-kept and had everything we needed, including a mini-refrigerator. See all reviews for this hotel

Not recommended: Stayed in a couple of hotels in Banff, was disappointed with the dated appearence of this hotel, it all looks alittle tired, the room service burger was not flash and room could of done with a deep clean. Recommended: The hotel is lovely the basic rooms are just fine for the difference in price. We enjoyed the breakfast and found the waitstaff to be outstanding. It was fun to play cards, eat dinner, and have drinks in the very large front area of the hotel. The views are spectacular. We asked for a fire in the fireplace and instantly they were building it. The hotel shuttle takes you everywhere in town. Don't waste your money renting a car in Calgary. Take the shuttle and when you want to travel farther out just rent a car for the day. Recommended: Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Room smelt a little musty when we first came in but very clean. Only drawback was no air conditioning and they seem to have limited parking had to park on street and almost got a ticket. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: One block from downtown Banff so almost everything is within walking distance. Saturday night was a bit noisy with drunks arguing outside. Shutting the windows took care of that! We would definately stay there again. See all reviews for this hotel

Not recommended: The hotel is average overall. It was unseasonably warm during our stay there, however, as a result, the comfort of the room was extremely compromised. In situations like this when the weather is warm, the hotel does not have air conditioning. It was quite unpleasant to sleep because we were always sweating. Worse than the tropics. Recommended: Found a great deal for this hotel on Expedia. We were pleasantly surprised by the room (comfortable, clean) and breakfast (Continental, but well-supplied, and the granola is really good!). The outdoor hot tub was great.
