“I had to take the City Link train on 11/27 for Survanabhumi. FO surprised with take away breakfast”
It was a comfortable room .non smoking. Staff courteous and friendly. Quiet location and central to town and transposrt for the airport. It is also situated among top name hotels i.e Central Park. Walk 15minutes to the train station for the airport train. The only thing I can suggest the hall ways carpets looked dull and frayed. And, some splash of paint in the throughfare areas. Some walls from continual customer movements had marks. Definitely will stay when in Bangkok.
“Good value for money, above average quality.”
The worst thing about this hotel is the quality of the workmanship in maintaining the hotel, namely the shower rose and gap-filling in and around the bath room. Sure, it did not effect the comfort while staying there, but it does look ugly. The second thing is the location of the Air-Cond relative to where the bed is. The cool air just did not circulate enough into the bedding area. Whereas, just a few steps away would make it too cold. These could be just the particular room we were in. Enough for the whining. The good things are, staffs were very helpful, one of the better breakfast and very close to Pra-too-nam shopping district which only about 20 min. walk away.
“quite good chain hotel”
The hotel is not new, but it looks like it has been renovated in parts. We had a standard room- furniture was quite old, however bathroom has been renovated. In our reservation breakfast was included- it was good and one could eat either Asian or European food. Do not believe that it takes 5 minutes to get to skytrain- it takes 10 minutes but it is really fast and convinient way to move in Bangkok as it there is always traffic jam ;) However in the evening it is better to go by taxi- city is not so crowded and it costs max 100 Rp from the city center Wat Pho etc. (meter taxi).
“Location not ideal”
A cheap, comfortable hotel but not close to any of the main attractions, local street food stalls/restaurants or the BTS (Sky Train) or the underground train system. Having said that taxis are very cheap and you can get to most attractions for around 100 Baht roughly £2).
“Okay hotel but could do better in Bangkok”
The hotel itself is quite tidy with clean rooms and an okay restaurant. I only have two negative remarks to make, the first is that there are no real facilities in the immediate surroundings of the hotel, he nearest skytrack being 10 minutes walk away, although taxis and tuk tuks are relatively cheap in Bangkok so this is no necessarily a problem. Secondly we arrived at 8am and were aware that the check in was 12pm, but as we had traveled all night and my wife was feeling unwell we didn't want to wait, our surprise was a charge of a third of the walk in rate to check in early, which at 700 baht was only 100 baht less than the expedia full night rate.
