Fabulous

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: The decking around the pool needed replacing
Location: River cruises, visiting the old quarter, walking around the local area and looking at, if not sampling, all the wonderful street food.
It was a gorgeous sanctuary in an otherwise noisy and polluted city. The staff couldn't have done more to make our stay enjoyable, the food was great and the rooms beautifully furnished. A wonderful experience.

We enjoyed our thee day stay. The accommodation was spacious and the surrounds very relaxing. The host David and his staff took great pride in the service they provided. Highly rated accommodation.

Beautiful hotel

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: Everything, it was just what we needed after three busy weeks touring on our way home.
Cons: Its a challenge for taxi drivers to get there! Street narrow and lots of traffic.
Location: Given the size of Bangkok nothing is ever close by! Can catch the ferry just outside the hotel to the main river and attractions.
Arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight and were immediately shown to our room. Large, spacious, well appointed with great bathroom. Staff were extraordinarily helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Bowl of fruit a welcome extra, orchids in the room. Great swimming pool and siting areas. Clean. Food (hotel also serves lunch and dinner) excellent, good variety, high quality vegetarian food. Able to stay in room until 2.30 (as requested) on day of check out.

A Hidden Gem in the City

Posted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: Hotel made you feel like you are in your own private oasis.
Cons: The restaurant needs to also carry meat instead of just being a vegetarian restaurant.
Location: Biggest dislike is the location. It is pretty far from the Chao Phraya River. The skytrain is pretty easy to navigate & is really close to the hotel.
This hotel is a hidden gem in a big city. The hotel makes you feel like you are not in the city but in your own private oasis. The biggest dislike of this hotel is the location. A wonderful, quiet place to stay in Bangkok

Posted Jun 4, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing that I can think of
Location: The hotel is at the end of a short, three-block street. There are food stands and a few shops along the street, including three 7-11 stores.
We found Ariyasom Villa to be elegant, comfortable, and quiet. The Aroon restaurant is on the premises, and there is a small infinity pool, too. It's run by the granddaughter of the original builder of the villa and her British husband. The gardens are beautiful, and there is even a library with comfortable furniture for guests to relax.

A real gem

Well hidden in a good location in Bangkok, this quiet, peaceful hotel is a real gem. Only spent one night there but was a good stopping off point for R & R on the way back from Europe to Oz. If you like vegetarian and seafood the restaurant is a very good option.
