“Astera hotel experience”
We booked a twin room and when we got there they tried to give us a double. They finally gave us a room with 2 beds, but it was annoying to start. This happened to our friends also. After that our stay was good. We booked a suite which was lovely, tastefully decorated, clean and had all we needed. Internet went off occasionally but was fixed as soon as we rang downstairs.
Breakfast was OK but was the same each day. They need to vary it , just a little. The only problem with our room was that the hot water was not hot!! I had a hot shower on the last day of our 6 day stay. Otherwisw the water was only just warm. Luckily it was so hot outside, that it didn't matter.
This was a nice hotel to stay at as we had a conference to attend nearby, but I wouldn't stay there if I was visiting Bangkok to shop and relax. There's not much by the way of good shopping nearby, although the sky train is very close. I just sometimes like to go for a walk to look around, and there's not much here to look at.
