A+ concierge + service & very beautiful hotelPosted Apr 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
the rooms were very well appointed wth many small touches that hint of old school glamour and charm. the size was not an issue for me. i found it very cozy on contrary. the location is adequate enough the con is you cant step out and expect shopping and dining at your doorstep but the plus is just so quiet secluded and snugly tucked away amidst lots of private houses, quaint cafes & trees... good for those who rate tranquility higher than convenience. the hotel staff and front desk were extremely helpful and provided amazing service, helping with everything including cab calling and making sure they drove to my intended destination.

Great Bar, great location, small roomPosted Feb 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
My wife and I had a nice stay at the Cabochon. First and foremost, the hotel staff are wonderful as is the restaurant and bar. Perhaps the finest gin and tonic i have ever had as well. However, if you stay at the Cabochon after staying in some of the luxurious Thai hotels in other parts of the country you may be disappointed. The breakfast offers very little selection, and the rooms are tiny. I also would have preferred if the bathroom was cleaner. In all, its a stylish boutique hotel with a great restaurant and bar, what the rooms lack in luxury the hotel makes up for in charm.

In the middle of everything but peaceful and quietPosted Dec 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is an extraordinary boutique hotel in a cool part of Bangkok. Every visual detail has been attended to. Slick pool on the roof as well. The only problem is a terrible, rank sewage smell that was emerging from our shower drain when we came back to the room late at night, and the hotel's thin staff seemed powerless to address it (they brought some unscented candles). It was only for a few hours, but it was really bad. Other than that, the place is just great.

Cozy HideawayPosted Dec 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
This boutique hotel is a great home base for a stay in bustling Bangkok. The hotel is wonderfully decorated and appointed and has a real charm to it. The common areas are well done, cozy, and a great place for a happy hour cocktail or snack. The rooftop pool seals the deal, as it is a great place to relax while taking in the scale of the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and many have their own terraces! The staff is attentive and friendly.

A Beautiful Boutique HotelPosted Dec 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
We absolutely LOVED our time at Cabochon-- the hotel is beautifully decorated (french colonial style), the restaurant was outstanding, the rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the staff was absolutely phenomenal. Communication prior to our stay was fantastic, and Ploy and her colleagues could not have been more helpful during our stay. The hotel is in a great location for seeing and experiencing Bangkok-- close to the BTS, which makes getting around the city easy. Truly cannot say enough about how amazing this beautiful boutique hotel is! Wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Bangkok in the future!

Tranquil island in a lively cityPosted Nov 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
A delightful small hotel with excellent well informed staff that made you feel welcome from the outset. Good suggestions for various guests interests. Very comfortable bed, quiet, pool with fabulous view of the surrounding area. Excellent fresh food. Only aspect that might improve the hotel is to have a garden area. The getting would be lovely with some tropical greenery rather than a carport even if does have a very stylish classic silver Mercedes ;).

Cabochon Hotel stayPosted Oct 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great colonial bungalow located very conveniently between 2 BTS stations. But twin beds, & room as well, are TINY. Bathroom amenities (whilst good quality) are stuck to wall & grotty looking; shampoo dispenser did not work. No conditioner. Slight sewer smell from clogged pipes- disguised easily when I moved room frangrance to bathroom. Room (203) had a small nail sticking out from floorboards which luckily only took off some dead skin fr sole. So be careful. Breakfast was cosy, decent selection, nice home made jam. Staff are helpful & warm which is a plus. Common areas are quirkily decorated & I'm sure appealing to some but I found it too congested. Owner has a penchant for dead animals- empty turtle shells etc, taxidermied whole turtles, couple of other animals. Disquieting, & unfortunately not my thing. Overall an interesting experience, although I wouldn't stay again unless in the bigger suites!
