“Everything you would expect of 5-stars”
Booked 2 superior rooms with twin bedding for 4 nights.
Arrived fairly late in the evening (around 8:30pm). We were greeted at the door by a series of porters and concierge, who unloaded our bags and directed us to reception on floor 23. Check-in took longer than expected, but the customer service still remained at a high standard. The receptionist even offered us a seat on the lounges and came to us, kneeling by my side to talk to me if she had any questions, which I thought was very unique.
The state of the rooms was terrific! The beds were nice and soft and there were a variety of pillow available, the bathroom was clean with loads of complimentary toiletaries plus the toilet was Japanese-style (seat warmer + water spray).
During the visit, the concierge were extremely helpful, arranging various tours for us as well as suggesting several meal options in the local area. They also greeted us by name each time we entered the building, which I thought was fantastic!
The hotel is in a terrific location, with various hawker stalls and eateries around the hotel. MBK was also walkable, but we preferred to travel 2 stops (to National Stadium) by Skytrain due to the oppresive weather conditions.
If there was to be a downside (which there were not many of), it would be that hotel rooms cannot be accessed from the ground floor. You have to catch an elevator to the hotel lobby on the 23rd floor before connecting with another elevator to the guest floors.
