“Quiet calm in central Bangkok”
Bangkok is noisy, smelly, chaotic, mad... and then a block back from the main shopping thoroughfare in Sukhumvit, the Dream Hotel is an oasis of quiet. The design is quirky and the "floating on a cloud" beds are firm and extremely comfortable. Our bathroom had a shower only but, not being bath fans, this was not a problem for us. Security is excellent - from the lift it is only possible to access common areas (restaurants/pool etc) and your own floor (you need to swipe your room key in the lift). The pool area is lovely, although it was located in an adjacent building (Dream 2). The staff were always helpful and attentive. A bonus of the location of the hotel is that both the Sky Train and Metro are close by which are efficient, air conditioned, cheap and easy to navigate. It is a short hop to Lumphini for the Thai Boxing and to Siam Centre for some serious shopping malls. We also rode the line to the river a couple of times and used the efficient and cheap river bus service for a scenic journey to the main attractions.
“Very Impresive!”
From the moment I arrived the staff was positively delightful! They were helpful, accommodating and expedient. My third day there I had a friend coming who likes to smoke. I called down and got switched to a smoking room all in about 15 minutes. My friend ended up not coming and called to switch back. No problem! I was back in a clean room within a little while.
“iT WAS just what i needed, wanted, and expected, i would highly recommend it at the pricei paid!”
Air conditioning in room was either cold or not cool, need more adjustments. A map/brochure for the 4 block are, found a quaint side street with cafe's, but by accident after a long, hot walk down Sumkumvit Rd.
“Best. Hotel. Ever.”
For anyone like me who had a hard time placing this hotel on a map prior to my arrival, Dream Bangkok is located in the heart of Sukhimvit, close to the Westin, and between the Asoke and Nana BTS Skytrain stops (though closer to the former than the latter).
“Dream Bangkok Rocks in a Chill Sort of Way”
Second time to stay there. Very pleasant experience and solid value. Like the ambiance, location, service, staff, bed, pool . . . .
“Great Hotel!!”
Dream Bangkok was a great choice for the money. Very modern with a great look! The staff went out of their way to provide the best service for us including calling to confirm our dinner reservations and packing our complimentary breakfast so that we could leave for the airport at 4am. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Only downside is that we could clearly hear the TV from our adjacent room at night.
“A good nights sleep at The Dream.”
The hotel is in a good location , down a quiet side Soi, but only a 5 minute walk to Nana or Asoke Sky Train stations, which are great for getting around and beating the traffic in Bangkok. Stayed in a deluxe room on the 9th floor which was great. Rooms are very modern and spotlessly clean, with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in , in my life. If you want somewhere a bit different, bang in the hustle and bustle of (Sukhumvit) Bangkok, book it!.
“Fantastic Designer Hotel”
Unfortunately we only had 1 night in this fantastic hotel at the end of our holiday. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a junior suite (as such we had 2 widescreen plasma tv's!). The hotel has a really cool designer feel to it, but is not over styled. Really nice and chilled out, and with a 5-9pm 2-for-1 happy hour in the bar, it was a nice relaxing end to our trip. Definitely recommend.
“An Excellent Place to Stay”
We loved this hotel. The room was extremely pleasant and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were well presented and offered a good choice. The bar area was pleasant but the drinks were a bit expensive. The location is very convenient but only if you use the Sky Train as the traffic on Sukhumvit Road is horrendous. We would definitely stay there again and we recommend it highly.
“Very nice”
Everything about this hotel is first class. It is located on a side street 2 blocks off Sukhumvit Rd. Near subway and Skyway. Take a taxi from the airport for 400-600 Baht at about 33 baht to $. Don't be taken in by yellow airport official taxi service inside custom area. It is not the official airport taxi. It is a limonuse service. More costly perhaps 1000 baht. Use a metered taxi.
