Good value hotels with easy access to all points

Posted Jun 20, 2014
This hotel was great value for money. It's a clean and modern property with a tropical outdoor pool and very comfortable rooms. The breakfast, while ample, didn't have as much choice as other comparable properties. The hotel's a short walk from the Bangkok monorail, offering easy access to the downtown area. It's also a short walk to the Silom entertainment zone.

Small, boutique hotel. Quality for the money.

Cons: The grumpy, officious girls at the check in need to move on and give some of the real talent Thailand has offer a shot at the job.
Location: Location is close to the big shopping districts, like MBK and Central World.
This is my third time at the Furama Exclusive Sathorn. It is a small hotel but plush enough at a reasonable price. The breakfast is excellent so paying for the room with the free breafast is value. You are close to the Chong Nosi BTS station. The BTS will get you most places to have fun. The down side was their was not much smiling and cheerfulness.from the staff as the first visit two years ago. This last visit the check in people seemed a little grumpy and officious in the land of smiles. Don't waste you money and time on the floating market tour from the tour company located there in the lobby. It is a tourist trap. The real floating markets can be reached at a greater distance and an honest taxi driver. Check your internet for the real floating market locations and advise how to get there.

Great room, great staff

Posted May 19, 2014
Love the room, spacious with big fridge and microwave. No bath but I don't mind. Staff are excellent and willing to help The area is convenient , near sky train and Silom road. Not far from MRT (underground train) , near shopping centre; Siam, MBK etc There s a weekday market near the hotel, selling local food and snacks. (Soi la lai sap). However, there r thieves snatching handbag, so be careful. At night time the area is very dark along the street to go out to Silom road.

Great hotel, just not easy to find!

Posted May 7, 2014
Difficult to find the place by taxi .At night time the area is very dark and feel not safe. Should have more street lights! Very close to sky train. And lots of shops nearby. No footpaths around the hotel. Not easy to walk with all the traffic. Staff are lovely. Spacious room.

Great hotel, brilliant breakfast. Only hard to find it. Taxi driver took us to different hotel, instead 400 baths we paid 600 baths, is not hotel fault, plus be careful for your bags in that area. We had a great time, fab location, walking distans to the shopping and train station.

COLD "hot" food

Posted May 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
Nice room, nice (small pool), but terrible wifi connection---it never seemed to work, either in the room or even in the lobby. The breakfast was disappointing because it looked good---but the "hot" items were stone cold. Apparently, the cook forgot to turn on the burners under the steam trays, so the supposedly hot items were not even lukewarm---they were as cold as the air-conditioned room.

Convenient Location, nice facilities & OK price

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Looking a little tatty now
Location: Hop on the MRT and get ina mongst Bangkok quickly
Overall was OK - short stay business type hotel that's conveniently located next to Chonsi Nong station. Nothing great but also nothing bad. Being a business hotel should be a little quicker to check in and check out but nothing major
