Good Location but serious trouble with room size

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Rennovation required big time; break those old cabinets and furniture; Service needs to be improved - coach your employees on what is really service
Plus Points 1. Exceptional location - next to Pantip Plaza and Platinum Mall - you can spend days in these malls 2. Very good massage service on 9th floor - service was very good, place was extra clean Negatives - 1. Old Rooms - not renovated - I was on 14th floor 2. Room size was small; laden with furniture and difficult to manuevre around 3. Buffet Breakfast was same on all 3 days - smells lot of meat; vegetarians are going to have to make do with bread and eggs and fruits; also everyday same buffet - no changes at all 4. Checkout - International passengers should stay away - your flight will be around 9 pm or 10 pm - anything over 2 pm, the hotel will charge you 200 bahts an hour - very strict; no leniency - I was charged 1000 bahts because with a small child I had no where to go and had to be in the room till 4 pm 5. Reception Personnel were pathetic - My room had run out of tea bags, cream and sugar - I called up the reception and they strictly informed me not to call reception for these requests but call room service. Room service thought I was ordering tea - finally I ended up going outside for a tea

The first day I waited for 1 hour to check in due to some aircon break down in my room. The staff then reluctantly upgraded my room and told me that I would have to change the room the next morning which caused lots of trouble. once you step into the room you can smell a strong smell of unpleasant stench. Furthermore the room were not make in the morning.

Dated by comfortable

Location: Shopping centres are close enough to walk to.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a little run down in their facilities however it serviced us for the one night. Room was very large for us with a lounge room however tv and shower etc. could do with an upgrade to be more modern. Breakfast was satisfactory and enjoyed with some nice coffee. Close enough to walk to the major shopping centres however a bit of a walk to the nearest train station with luggage in hand.

Great Location for Families/Shopping

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Convenient, lots of amenities. Massage was especially good since it opened till 1am every night.
Cons: Buffet breakfast was a tad boring. Not much variety.
Location: Nice noodle place next to plantip plaza. Try the street food in front of Glow hotel.
For those looking for suites next to platinum mall, grand diamond is hard to beat. Directly connected to Platinum Mall via the 2nd floor, Grand Diamond itself has a starbucks, Burger King, pharmacy, minimart and a spa all in the same building. Worth paying a little more for the Executive Suite which has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchenette, dining area and living area. The huge balcony has a 180 degree view of bangkok. This is our second time and we were in 2604 (Ruby Suite). The hall is much larger than 2601 which we stayed in previously. However the aircon compressor for the 2nd bedroom died on our last night. Will definitely come back to Grand Diamond Suites!

Cons: The room condition a bit old.
Location: Very close to Pratunam Fashion Mall
The 2 bedroom suite was suitable for my family, large enough for the children to play in the room without affecting us. The rooms were a bit old though the other suite we had was newly renovated.

Hotel too dirty, and run-down.

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: I liked it because it was close to shopping, and had a decent breakfast buffet.
Cons: Replace carpets, mattresses, bedding, furniture, appliances. Repair, and paint roof, walls, etc.
Location: Siam Paragon, Central World, Fashion Mall
I have stayed at this hotel at least 10 times in the past 7 years. This was the first time I booked an Executive suite. Very dirty, greasy, smelly carpet. Sofa, and chairs in same condition. Main bedroom mattress sunken; like sleeping in a bowl. Dirty walls, and paint in poor condition. I was worried for my young daughter crawling, playing on the dirty carpet and sofa. I will not stay at this hotel again. I have noticed continued neglect over the years, and hotel is in shabby, unhealthy condition.

Below expectation

Posted May 2, 2015
Not what I have expected for 4 star hotel. Housekeeping was terrible. Most of the area were left out not clean. Did not replenished the essential shower gel and shampoo. Do not disturbed sign or housekeeping required sign were not issued to us to hang it on the door. Air-conditioning not functioning properly. Have to call for technician for a few times before problem solve.
