Out of the way location next door to a nicer sister hotel where our breakfast was served Had roaches They sprayed saw no more No hot water they fixed it Had a jr suite so plenty of room No English speaking channels while next door in their other hotel they did Advertise a laundry It doesn’t exist had to go down the street and had it done for 200 baht cheap Lousy shower pressure Staff pleasant Poor lighting in room One hand towel no face cloths Great fridge and freezer had frozen water bottles daily a+ To upgrade to a smaller room next door was 1000 baht a day So we kept our suite With roaches they should of just moved us over complimentary Not good customer service

The staff was amazing and very friendly the only down side was the first 2 days there was a roachs but they sprayed and I didn’t see anymore other than that it’s worth the bang for your buck

It's so close to embassies. There is more than one seven eleven nearby. pharmacy nearby. but it does not have a good location where you can eat local foods. The hotel is clean, the rooms are convenient. employees are helpful. A reliable place that does not require a deposit like other hotels. comfortable accommodation.

Not up to its Previous Standard Having stayed at I Residence many times over the years I have always considered it value for money. It is well located in a quiet Soi, the staff are friendly and the prices reasonable.I now feel that they have dropped their standards in terms of room cleanliness and the poor quality of the room furniture. On the positive, I had no idea they had a restaurant and was pleasantly surprised when I was invited to a buffet breakfast on the ninth floor on my last day.

I want to be totally honest here. I have stayed at i residence many times in the past and it has always been excellent, this time things were not the same. Given the lack of tourists the hotel is really struggling to the extent that there is minimal staff, the air con is not operating in reception, the pay tv channels have been cut, there are no tea or coffee making facilities and the room cleaning was not up to their high standards. Hopefully things will improve and the hotel will return to offering its high level of service at a budget price.

Where has the Thai warmth gone in Chiland?
Bed was rock hard and both of us slept on the lounge, not really what you pay for. Staff were pleasant but the natural genuine kindness of Thai people seems to have disappeared. Maybe they’re jaded with some of the crap they have had to put up with from particularly Chinese tourists, sorry don’t want to appear racist, but they’re everywhere and arrogant, rude and pushy as “F”. I don’t mind paying for things but I hate feeling ripped off and charging me 100 baht to use their iron was simply a rip off and has never happened anywhere before. If they had ironed 2 shirts and one pants I’d be be fine with that, just wish some of that genuine Thai kindness can be found again in most places we went to, not just with the hotel staff who really were ok, nothing actually bad to say about them. Just feels the warmth has gone from Thai people in Chiland Room is good, plenty of space and with 2 balconies and kitchen. AC is ok, hot water in shower, kitchen is functional when you ask for cooking gear, location ok but taxi to anything you want to see or do. Probably a 3 star hotel, not the advertised star rating especially for the price in what was Thailand but now appears to be Chiland

Unfortunately we left our son’s shoes in the hallway overnight and they were taken- our mistake, but surprised that either a guest or a staff would take them. We had discussed the issue with the staff. Although it was 9am when we reported the shoes missing, the staff advised us that they would review the sercurity footage the next morning - security camera outside our room. Next morning we asked about the footage and the shoes and they again told us they would look into it... at checkout, that same day, we waited 30 minutes with our luggage in their reception area. When asked to speak to the ‘manager’, we waited another 15 minutes with the response that the manager would come but not sure when. After waiting 45 minutes, it was obvious to us that the hotel had no interest or regard in theft, security of personal items and customer service- because when we finally got fed up with waiting for the ‘manager’ and got up to leave, the manager came in- did not try and stop us, no one asked for contact info in case the shoes showed up.

Quiet location .
All the rooms are around the pool and a small bar is near the rooms. However it's quiet around 10 pm. And that make my stay great. The nights were quiet. The rooms are dated. But for the price I pay for the room I had great value . Staff are very friendly I sure go back.

The staff need to upgrade their English if they are dealing with foreigners. After explaining to them where I needed to go to catch a bus at Lumpini park which is just a few minutes away, they had not informed the driver correctly and took more than half hour and as a result, I missed my bus to Cambodia. He spoke absolutely no English and had no idea until I asked someone on the street to give him instruction.

Irrsidence is always a good place to stay. Nice, clean room centrally located in Sathorn and within walking distance of Silom and patpong. After all the times I have stayed there, this is the first time I realised that they had a shuttle bus that will drop you off at the BTS.

The hotel is in the business district and not near BTS so a cab rode to see attractions but is was economical amd the staff very helpful. I didn’t try room service as it looked ordinary and the floors needed mopping along the edges there was some crusty dusty areas. My hand held shower nosel was defective and only sprayed at 90 degrees unless holding it. The shower was clean and the room had the usual free toiletries. The room had a balcony and the view wasnt so great

Hotel itself is in a quiet area. The walls do seem a little thin but I was not bothered by any noise at night. The bed is very comfortable and a full size refrigerator and freezer was a surprise. The room was large and seemed to have a fresh coat of paint. It did have a slight paint oder. The aircon could definitely stand to be cleaned and even updated as many functions dis not work, yet it was very cold. The staff was friendly.

IResidence at Sathorn is very nice hotel. I always stay there for the last 9 years when I am in Bangkok. It has a great location but quiet, easy to get to. Staff are excellent, friendly and very helpful, rooms spacious, comfortable and have balconyies. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends..

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times now. It is in the perfect location close to shopping, bars, Silom, patpong and all modes of transport. For what it offers it is relatively inexpensive. The staff are generally friendly and attentive.

Dear Expedia As Itinerary : 7365934774862, I am not satisfied with the room condition that provided by this hotel - I resident, they are not checking the facility before allow next customer to live in. We are travelling outside until midnight on the first day, we are live in as usual, but we realised that the air condition is leaking water and isnt cold enough and we found out our clothes that we brought has been wet, this is the matter i never met before. Furthermore, in term of condition enclosed on Expedia website has mentioned about free late check-out 2 hours extension but the hotel asked to check-out at 1 PM. Conflicting responses from the front desk
I’m sure if it has something to do with the English comprehension of the front desk staff or our ability to understand what they’re saying in broken English at that time. We got conflicting statements from the staff. Initially, we were told that breakfast is not included. Unfortunately, we found out on our lasr day at the hotel that it WAS actually included. Other conflicting statements include the 100 baht fee (each) they require from us for the use of an adapter & iron. The adapter has a price tag of 100 (baht). Not sure if they meant that I was to pay a deposit. When I told them that I left my money in the safe in the room & asked if i can pay them if i can pay when I check out, they agreed. Upon checkout though, I was not charged for the use of the adapter at all. These might seem petty, but the breakfast confusion could have saved us money had they told us correctly about it.

Great location in a fun neighborhood. The hotel is nice, clean, and the staff is wonderful. The wifi could be better. Request a room on a higher floor, as my first room was on the second floor, and someone would be sorting glass bottles to recycle every morning at 6:30 a.m. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel. Great value.
