Nice and Classy feelingPosted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: The design and the facilities
When I walked into the lobby, already I thought it was amazing. I had organised pick up from the airport and got a very nice luxurious van. The rooms were modern comfortable and the facilities were great. Buffet breakfast was great with a various variety of international selections. The hotel was close to major and medium shopping centres, making everything walking distance.

Great location. 5-star service.Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Location -- GREAT. Gym -- BIGGGGGG and opened 24-hour. Staff are nice and can speak good English. Convenient store right opposite the hotel.
Cons: Pool is a bit small.
Honestly, I am very very satisfied. I was on a family trip with my parents and we booked a room with two queen beds. The room is not super big but the beds are big enough. We feel very comfortable staying in the same room for three nights. The location was great. The hotel is right next to BTS Chitlom Station and is within walking distance to Silom. Going to Chatuchak is convient too, only about 20 mins of BTS ride. To avoid the hassle of traffic congestion, we took BTS and Airport City Line between the hotel and airport. One hour will be enough (that includes interchanging lines at Phaya Thai station pulling one big luggage and two small ones.

Beautiful hotel.Posted Mar 7, 2015
Beautiful hotel with excellent ambiance and appointment from the lobby to the room. Although an old building, renovations have kept it up to date and as magnificent as any newly built 5 star hotel. The only problem I had with my stay was the smell of the towels. It may just be me but I think a premium hotel should provide towels that have a premium smell. They smelled clean but had that cheap "motel" smell. However, this in no way detracted from a wonderful overall experience. Everything was perfect.

Best Intercontinental EverPosted Feb 24, 2015
When I told a friend of mine that I was going to stay at the Intercontinental Bangkok he told me that was very old and I should look for a different place... How mistaken is he!!! I choose this brand hotel cause the concept and approach to the traveler is very different to others, so I have quite experience staying at Intercontinental and I can say confidently that this is probably the best I ever stayed. The service is truly flawless. Since the moment I made my check-in I was recognized as IHG member and receive a lot of benefits. The room is renovated and the embraces luxury and comfort. The lobby area totally enjoyable. The location couldn't be better, Skytrain at your hand, and malls, restaurants and nightlife just outside. BUT this was not the best of the hotel, the most we enjoy and deserves a special mention are the following: 1. Concierge Desk. I like to choose 5 star hotels, speacially in countries which I never been before or I don't know the language, and the Concierge is vital for me since they can suggest or not things that will make your trip unforgettable or not. Here the concierge ladies helped us a lot with plenty suggestions of what, where, how, when... 2. Gym. For sure this was the best gym I ever been in a hotel. 24 hours with trainers that really help you at any time. The machines are new and of top range. A/C works perfectly. Its located in the top of the building so you can workout and enjoy the amazing view of the city. The wet areas, sauna and sh

Comfort and calm in the middle of Bangkok madnessPosted Feb 21, 2015
Location: The location is very convenient, especially for the shopping malls.
Despite a shaky start (room not ready at 4pm), we had a great stay at the Inter. The twin beds room was spacious, the view from the 17th floor amazing, and the breakfast was the best ever. The hotel staff went out of their way to help. The location is very convenient, especially for the shopping malls. The only drawback is the expensive wifi. Why isn't there a free wifi at least in the lobby?
