“Serviceable but nothing special.”
I booked this hotel because my favorite hotel in Bangkok wasn't available, and this one was reasonably priced and LGBTQ welcoming (according to expedia). Its not too hard to find as long as you don't look down Soi 1. Check-in was unfriendly but efficient. The room was large with a window and TV, a smallish bathroom and the basic facilities. It was clearly new, and not particularly well finished (there was paint in places it shouldn't have been, and the grout on the tiles in the bathroom was less than perfect). I think it was a perfectly nice room, fine for buisness or leisure, but nothing marked it out as anything special.
I was very unimpressed with room service. I ordered a sandwich with chips. It was complicated to make the order due to language difficulties, but once they were resolved it took over an hour to arrive, and the chips were stone cold. They took them away and returned around 10 mins later with hot chips.
All in all the hotel is somewhere I would stay again if ON8 weren't available. Its cheap enough, nice enough and with a little more time to bed in perhaps the service and hospitality will improve.
