Some improvements neededPosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: Room comfort and position in Bangkok.
Cons: Should have free Wi-Wi, and no cracked sinks......
Location: Very close to the hub of night life, including gay area.
The sink in my room was cracked leaving a stain. It is the only hotel that I've stayed at the charges for Wi-Fi use, and this was inconvenient. Other wise a very nice clean hotel with attentive and pleasant staff.

Ideal for SilomPosted Nov 16, 2013
Cons: Bathroom modernised, and free Wi-Fi
Location: Close to Gay area and night market.
Nice clean hotel, however a cracked sink was off putting, and it's the only hotel I have been in that charges for internet use, only about £5 a day. But very petty way of adding to the room bill.

Staff very helpful. The pool a refreshing spot to relax away from the busy street life in this area of Bangkok (Patpong).

Impolite staff and unaccommodating hotel policiesPosted Sep 19, 2013
Cons: Customer centred service, smiling staff. Flexible hotel policies.
Customer service is below expectation. Rude and Sour faced staff. No late check out. Poor Housekeeping. Old facilities and room smelled of stale cigar smoke.

Nice hotel close to MBK, Siam Central and LumphiniPosted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Nice, clean, comfortable
Cons: Could do with a renovation at some point in the future, although it still has the palatial feel to it and not bad value-for-money.
Location: Massage places, as well as Patpong Road for ping pong shows nearby. Near Soi 11 in Sukhumvit (by cab) for nice bars. 5-10min cab to MBK/Siam Central
I stayed here for three nights and checked in late at night. Long story, but I had an issue with negotiating the room rate as I was having technical difficulty booking the very first night online as it was no longer in the system. Staff were very accommodating and bent over backwards to speak to management etc to help me, which I appreciated. Room was clean, housekeeping staff friendly. Buffet breakfast was nice, although some of the staff didn't speak a lot of English so unfortunately you don't get many variations on your omelette, so people with special dietary requirements may need to be wary. Some of our friends in other rooms had issues with their shower and a/c but were moved to other rooms which were fine. It's a pretty big hotel so on some sides noise can be an issue, although I sleep like a log so it didn't affect me. The concierge will assist with cabs and if you ask for it to be on the meter, they will help (as opposed to bartering a price).

Friendly, comfortable, central and great value!Posted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: The location is perfect if you want to experience the hustling Bangkok vibe but need comfort and safety.
Location: Array of bars, cafes, street food, upmarket mall, public transport, night markets, Lumphini park.
If you want to explore the city and also take advantage of public transport for some attractions further out, then this is a fantastic hotel. The staff were very welcoming on arrival (2am!) and most spoke ok English. We had some difficulty sometimes finding staff to meet our requests but eventually were attended to satisfactorily. Great breakfast buffet in the mornings if a little pricey - but a great start for day excursions. We found the staff had strong alliances with taxi drivers and excursion companies so found it hard to get independent advice on exploring the city. We were hassled by one taxi driver who followed us into the hotel asking for our room number and the hotel staff just did not want to know of our concerns - all of a sudden no one spoke English ... However, location great - just a short walk to the Skytrain, Lumphini park, Patpong Night bazaar and a nice array of cafes and bars. Would definitely stay again.
