Great location, nice room
Room was clean, bed a little soft, but overall very pleased. Great location, just 100 meters from the BTS station. Ask for a room further removed from Sukumvit road, which can be noisy

Worst Place I stayed in my life noisy and stink
The Place is located on the busiest Streets of Bangkok and side Street also is very busy, at first they put me in the room next to the main Road I asked to change to the back and was still noisy I couldn't sleep the entire night, so I decided to leave early checked out at 4:30am, the bathroom smell like sewage for $30.00 a night in Bangkok I rather paid $10.00 more an able to stay at 4 Star Hotel, this place need to tear it down. Probable fit Ok for backpackers, bed is spring bed that give you a backache.

Dear Guest We are sorry that you did enjoy your stay ! We are located closed to one f the main road in Bangkok which is a 24/24 city ....and maybe you came here for this reason. If you have a light sleep I can understand. But please not complain about anything else beacause you are not happy about your stay !!! We upgraded you and give you a superior room to give you a more quiet room....

Very clean
To get to the rooms on the first floor which is really the third floor you have to climb 36 steps without a railing and carrying all of your luggage. The front desk staff greeted us and give us our keys. They were not overly friendly but they were not unfriendly either. The room is very small and basic, but it was fine for just one night. We chose to stay there for the location. It is about a 40 minute ride from the airport. The accommodations are basic but they do have a/C. We were surprised with the cleanliness of our room.

Thank you for comment. We have no lift but our staff propose to help all guests to carry their luggage. We do the best for our guests so cleanliness is a very important point for us.

Thank you for your comment Our superior room only have a fridge. We are in the heart of Bangkok so it could be a bit noisy ... but we are closed to everything !

Lists Sleep Number beds, which is a big lie.
The Location can't be beat but the room was very disappointing. There are not, I repeat not, Sleep Number beds in the rooms as they say in the listing. The mattresses are very hard and very difficult to sleep on. I would have had to cancel the booking if I was staying longer than three nights. Plus there was no fridge to keep food or get drinks cold. There are a fair number of decent budget guesthouses on Sukhumvit in this area, and I normally am quite happy with them. I was just disappointed that Padi Madi lied on their listing. I really needed a comfortable bed, but they definitely don't have them here.

Thank you for your comment. We are very suprised by your comment and we don't understand the problem about something missing in the room with our description ! Our rooms are similar to the description in all websites. We have fridge in our suprerior room and a big common fridge and microwave for all guests in the common area on the rooftop. We have queen size matress in all room and they are new and usually we never have comments about them.

Fantastic location, 1 min from ThongLor BTS. Lots of street food & Japanese restaurant. Many massage places. Room is compact, good for 2 people but is well - equipped with basic amenities.

Location is wonderful!
It's a small hotel, small room, old, no elevator, etc,,, but, price was unbelievably low! If you are just sleeping at a hotel, and busy to go to so many places by BTS, it's the hotel to stay! Staff are very nice and friendly which is very important at a low price hotel like this. I would stay in this hotel again when I just need a place to sleep in Bangkok.

Nice guest house, perfect location
Room is compact with all the comfort inside, good bed. Price is reasonable and the location is perfect, just one step from the BTS. Many Japanese restaurants and karaoke around.

i checked in and checked out again
Overall disapointing if you been used to a hotel with elevator. Very narrow dark corridors and long walk to level 4 with my 2 suitecases. Totally soaked i arrived at my room. Room walls are durty, room is small. Bed matras weak. I did not feel well. So i checked out and booked a decent 3 star hotel for just 300 baht more.

This place is ok. A bit scruffy and needs a good clean but the bed was comfortable. It's very close to Thong Lo sky train and local amenities. Personally I would be a few extra Bhat next time and stay somewhere a bit more upmarket.

Decent room but bad smell
The room was spacious and clean enough but there was a terrible smell emanating from the bathroom. I don't think this is the fault of the hotel because the area in general had that smell. The location is excellent, just outside the Thong Lo BTS stop. The shower was adequate. If you're planning on checking in after midnight, send them an email in advance. I would not recommend this guest house for anyone with average or better olfactory perception.

I stayed here for 2 nights. Overall, good for value. Actually room was small and looked little bit old. Very close from Thonglor station, easy to find. Within walking distance, there are a few number of nice massage shops. I visited there a lot.

Simple little guest house.
A simple guest house with some quirks but all good. Price is right. On the fringe of Sukhumvit, need to catch sky train for 1 or 2 stations to get to the main action but there is plenty of food, facilities and local sites in the immediate area. Padi Madi offers a small room with the basics, good bed, small TV but 80 stations, A/C, table and chair. Ensuite is small but functional. Not staffed 24hrs but not an issue. No breakfast or dining room. No lift. No room safe. No cupboard or table for bags. On the corner of Sukhumvit road and a side street, not silent but not too loud. 50m from train station, 100m from 711. I stayed for 4 nites.

I wish...
If you don't read anymore than this: If you want cheap, stay here. If you want anything above that, don't. Look, I thought I went into this hoping it would be more than about "cheap" or "budget" and more about a nice surprise. I gambled. I lost. Really, I was visualizing a "bed and breakfast" Bangkok style. I was naive. Now, having said that, I have pretty much stayed from budget to exclusive locations in Europe, US, and Asia...this didn't measure up to any of them. I wasn't looking for or expecting 'world class'. I was expecting something maybe a little more "home-style." Nope. In summary, I booked 6 nights and left after 1 night. As for some of the other reviews about street noise or stairs--yes, they had all that, but I can deal with it. The overall cleanliness, environment/feel, and feel of safety--were the deal breakers. Madi Padi, I think you could have a great thing on your hands...I do. I just don't think you need undersell yourself as much as you think and with some minor updates, you'd be laughing your way to the bank and great reviews.

This hotel is really very near to BTS Thong Lor, and Sukhumit 55 where there is a lot of good food and pubs. But all rooms are located on the 3rd and 4th floor, the climb is okay but we limited to once daily - which is going back to sleep. Once we 'climb' back to our rooms, we wouldn't want to go out anymore. So do pack some snack and cup-a-noodle or bowl-a-noodle just in case you are too hungry. There is a small Japanese pub just right at the corner, typical Japanese "setting". We are on the 4th floor, the sound from traffic & the trains are quite bearable... Overall, it is quite an experience.

You Get What You Pay For!
We were given a room on the fourth floor, and there was a dreadful, horrid smell of sewage coming from the bathroom! It got worse every time you washed your hands or had a shower, basically any use of the drainage system! The room was super tiny to begin with, but this made it 1000 times worse! We asked for a room change the next day and was relocated to the 3rd floor, with no extra charge. Otherwise we would have forfeited the rest of our stay there (5 nights) and checked out of the place. Everything still smelled a bit musty in the new room but was heaven compared to the scent of sewage. Oh, I couldn't seem to connect to the WiFi on the fourth floor but could when moved to the 3rd floor. The receptionist half-jokingly mentioned that the owner probably could not afford any modifications to the place, hence any complaints would make no difference. But on the bright side, the staff are friendly and helpful. And the best part is that the Thong Lo BTS is literally at its doorstep. So for the price of the place, I guess you really do get what you pay for. p.s. Loads of stairs, so if you're not physically mobile, forget it.

centrally located on corner of sukumvit 53. next to thong lor metro. convenient for restaurants massage parlours and good street food. very impressed with french manager Fred. hotel does experience traffic noise so bring earplugs and eye mask for a comfortable stay. staff speak english and you can leave some luggage there ,which i was very greatful for. Overall i would definitely recommend padi madi guest house.

Nicest staff ever!
The room is basic, with everything we needed, but not gorgeous. We chose it for its perfect location right by a BTS station. You do need to be able to do stairs for both the BTS and Padi Madi. The staff were so helpful and kind in finding us a cab and talking them into taking us where they didn't really want to go (too much traffic) as well as helping us with destinations and bookings. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Location was okay and the price is low, but the website indicated there was a queen bed in the room and when I arrived it was barely a full size bed. The shower did not drain properly and they failed to fix it once and said they would not come back to try again for another full day. the maid service was also erratic and inconsistent.

It has a bed!
Good location if you want to be in the centre and next to transport, bad if you want to sleep, it was the smallest hotel room I have ever been in (and I have visited 30 countries) if you put another bed in the room there would be no floor space at all the shower/ toilet door is see through so your friend/ partner can watch you on the toilet, the blind did not cover the window so at night with the light on you can be viewed naked from the street or building facing you, there is no wardrobe to hang your clothes, as I say, it has a bed. On the plus side, the wifi works fine and the tv is also perfect but do not expect much else.

Great Guest House in prefect location in Bangkok
Great location, just near Skytrain and very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable for the price. Internet is fast and there is a flat screen with TV cable with English and Thai channels. Also there is a nice street for food just opposite of the guest house. Skytrain is perfect to reach shopping mall such as Siam Paragon.

Cheap and Decent
This is a "you get what you pay for" kind of situation. SO: The air conditioner wasn't great at circulating cool air around the room. There was no closet, so between the bed, the AC, and our suitcases there was not much room in the room. The blinds weren't in great condition and they did almost nothing to block out the sun. The fridge that we could "request" was actually a communal fridge by the stairs. The bathroom door is approaching transparency. BUT: the location is fantastic. (You shouldn't be spending any time in your hotel room anyway! This is Bangkok!) The price is right. And -- maybe most importantly -- the staff are all excellent. We asked for some assistance with a few things, and they were always cheerful and helpful.

Good Location - Funky smell
The room itself was ok, clean sheets and reasonably spacious. The main downside was the aircon drew in the smell of the street below which was pungent at first but quickly the nose got used to it. Street noise was ok for being so close to the main road. The reception allowed us to leave our gear at the guest house after checkout so we didn't have to lug packs around for the morning.

Exactly what I was looking for
Padi Madi is exactly what I look for in hotel. Stylish, super clean, comfortable bed with even cleaner sheets, not too expensive and Free WIFI. I also enjoyed the complimentary water and tea in the room. It's not that I am always looking for a freebie it's just that I don't understand why at the bigger more expensive hotels they have to nickle and dime you to death. 5 stars for Padi Madi and it's friendly staff.

The hotel is good and all for that price. But we were surprised to see the size of the room. It was too small a room to accommodate two persons. Also there are no elevators which made carrying the baggage all the way upto the third floor a menace.But the room was clean. Very nice location.

Pleasantly surprised
I read some bad reviews about this place but gave a shot anyway. Am I glad I did. This place is so conveniently located by BTS and it is a cute clean place. I must say it is noisy (Bangkok is noisy anyway) but the FREE WIFI and location made up for the noise. I am so glad I found this place. It is definitely a place I would stay again and again. Wonderful staff. Speaks English...yay!

BTSトンロー駅から至近であり交通の便利もよく、Ｗｉｆｉも完備、宿の出入りも簡単でして、バンコクに来たときは利用しています。とはいえゲストハウスでしてはっきり言って建物は古目でキレイ好きな方や家族連れにはそぐわないかもしれないですが、安さと一人旅の気安さにはもってこいかなと思っています。前泊時のコメントにも書きましたが屋上のリラックススペースがとても気に入っています。

スタッフの方がとても親切で優しい。話しかけやすい雰囲気がある。また、部屋の電源は2つと少ないが、シャワーは勢いのある熱いお湯がでたり、クーラーの効きがはやかったりと過ごしやすかった。すぐ近くにもトンロー駅を始め、セブンイレブンやサブウェイなど施設も充実している。

この安さですので、少々申し分ないとはなから思っていれば、全然問題ないです。 エアコンも直ぐに効くし、年季の入ったセーフティーボックスも使い方を間違えずにやれば、問題なかったです。(イレギュラーな操作を行うと開閉出来なくなる難点はありましたが・・・)従業員の方も優しく親切に対応頂きました。個人的には屋上のこじんまりした展望スペースが何か気に入ってます。(部屋に小さい蟻さんの隊列が最終日に現れた。ご愛敬？)

Wifiは各部屋で使用できます。
とても快適に過ごせました。Hotel.comではロビーでWifi使用可とありますが、各部屋で使用できます。 一点だけ難点をつけるとすると、バストイレの窓が開け放しになっていて、バストイレと室内の間の扉も気密性が悪いので、冷房効率が悪いのと、うるさいのがあります。 （夜、帰宅すると、部屋が蒸し暑い） その点を許容できるなら、非常に快適でしょう。 また、本当にトンロー駅から非常に近いです。

駅からは近く、手ごろな価格の所ですがですがビジネスでの使用は難しいと思います。
このホテルには冷蔵庫が有りません。エアコンの室外機の音がうるさくて眠れませんでした。 一階の角がバーで深夜の騒音もあります。駅から20Ｍ程でコンビニも近くてその他は問題は有りません。

ご意見ありがとうございます。 私たちはスーペリアルームにのみ冷蔵庫を持っていますが、私たちはすべてのゲストのためにロフトトップに公共冷蔵庫もあります。 私たちは、ホテルに閉まったバーについての苦情を最初に聞いたときの騒音について申し訳なく思っています。
