Good location

Stayed there for a short visit to Bangkok so didn't explore or make use of dining or entertainment facilities. Location was good, plenty to see within waking distance and easily accessible transport links.

Close to shops and sky train, about 30 mins from airport. Lovely pool, comfortable beds, all toiletries provided, good breakfast.

Dissapointing

Felt like I was in a back alley waiting to get pick-pocketed. Hotel staff and the Taxi drivers I am convinced were working together to cheat the tourists out of as much money as possible... Will never stay there again.

Nice hotel, close to Asok.

Hotel is close enough to the buzz but not in the main strip so you don't walk straight out to the craziness of Bangkok. Hotel staff are lovely. Even sent me flowers when I was feeling unwell. The Mexican restaurant is yummy, little expensive but that's to be expected. The only 'bad' thing I can say is that the bed was not as comfortable as other places..

Could be so much better

Pros: The staff at the reception particularly the lady that checked us and the gentleman at the travel desk were extremely friendly and eager to help.
Cons: General maintainence, missing lettering on signage, thermostat on the Air Condintioning and response to customer requests.
Location: Not much to do nearby except shop.
As with most hotels in Bangkok situated off the main roads the approach was not very promising. The extremely friendly staff and smooth check in made for a pleasant start. The room was spacious and clean. Some of the fittings did show their age however. The thermostat for the AC did not seem to work and despite a couple of calls for extra blankets the blankets never showed up. The buffet breakfasts were excellent and included enough variety to ensure that it didn't get repetitive. The pool and gym though small were up to Bangkok standards. The hotel is located at about a 7 minute walk from the Asok BTS station. There is a small mart right across the road and a Family Mart and 7-11 within walking distance. Not much available in terms of childrens activities at the hotel.

Everything was very very average, lower than our expectations. I cant believe so many people are giving such high scores. We ended up checking out 1 hour after we checkin and went to brand hotel. Pictures here look much nicer than the real deal.

Really nice hotel

Cons: Tip: Don't use the flat rate taxi service in the airport. A metered cab is 1/3 the cost less than 200 Baht plus toll vs. 700 at the airport.
Location: It’s a block from the main drag Sukhumvit at Soi 18. Short walk to the Skytrain/MRT and to whatever you want to see including the red light district.
I recently spent 3 nights (May 1, 2014 - May 4) & overall was very pleased with the hotel. Hotel & Room - Check-in and check-out was fast & easy. The room which was on the 9th floor in the tower was very nice & looked new. Good size, large comfortable bed, flat screen TV, bar, robe, coffee maker, fridge, big bathroom, rain fall shower, all the toiletries you would need & a pretty cool digital screen next to the bed that controls the lights, temperature, do not disturb light & ect. Food & Drink - The hotel has a great lobby bar with a live band & good deals during happy hour. The breakfast buffet was not huge but good with a mix of western, Thai & unlimited bacon which in itself made the stay there worth it. I ate at Senior Pico & Vinci. Both were very good. Rang Mahl & Red Pepper was only open for lunch so I did try them out. Staff - The majority of the population does not speak English. I had no problem communicating with the friendly and helpful staff. The only issue I had with the room was the safe & phone. The safe did not work. It turns out the batteries fell out from the behind the display on the safe. I put them back in & it worked perfectly. The phone which worked fine the first day or two did not work the last day. If not for the phone & safe, they would be a 5. I would stay there again.
