This IS NOT an hotel. It is part of a condominium complex. There is no bar and a very limited "restaurant" that closes at 3pm although we went at 2.30pm and it was already closed. We booked for 2 nights but checked out after one. They did however refund the second night. Definitely one to avoid.

Stay here every time before we leaving Bangkok (at least 3 or 4 times). Staffs are always excellent. Need to upgrade the facility a little bit. Need to apply no-smoking rule more strictly.

We had no idea about the scheduled electrical shutdown from 10am to 5pm for next day (15 Mar). It was not made known during our booking nor was it voluntarily informed as we were checking-in until we saw the notice on the reception counter top. Eventually we accepted the complimentary breakfast and bed to compensate for above. This was not forthcoming till we asked for something to be offered in return for the inconvenience. My hubby ended up staying in-room to work that day without aircon or electrical supply. Eventually he realised that he had to also work without WiFi and had to hotspot from our international data package. When we left the hotel last night, my kids stayed back in the room. This was after maintenence was completed. Their WiFi was very erratic and we could not contact my kids for at least 15 mins before we had to make an international call. When my husband tried to contact their phoneline for water, it was not going through. Swimming pool under reno - notice says that by March it will be finished but to date still work ongoing. We feedback regarding the above during check-out. The hotel had a nice facility and good service staff but it is very much disappointing that compensation or assistance is not proactive for shortfalls that guests face.

We were glad you accepted our compensation of complimentary breakfast for 5 people and complimentary extra bed for your whole stay for this unfortunate event and WIFI was actually part of the shutdown of electrical supplies with the connection of all the routers needed. As for the WIFI issue at night, we wish we were reported about the problem on the spot so we can send our engineer to check and provide you with the pocket WIFI. As for the swimming pool, it is not included in our facility list and the in-house notice displayed it will be re-opened in April. There might be some misunderstanding somehow. We are sorry that we didn't have a policy of covering for your Grab transportation to the airport as you requested in addition. I loved my stay at Riverfront Hotel, the apartment was very clean, cleaning staff are wonderful and the managers Rose and Belle, couldn’t do enough to help me, specially loved having a balcony with a view. Had to catch Taxis to get anywhere, but not expensive, easy to get to the shopping malls and the piers to catch riverboat, nice to arrive back at hotel after a busy day.

Property is part of a multi tower residence oriented location, good staff, attentive housekeeping etc. wifi was below average, slow and Intermittent. Location is a bit remote from many of the most active and popular areas of Bangkok

Great value for money
Overall a very pleasant stay. Staff was very accommodating. Room was huge and came with all the amenities needed. Only tip would be to deep clean the sofa and curtains from time to time as the dust aggregated my allergies quite a bit.

Most positive review of Riverfront Bangkok
Other than the location, we had a nice stay at Riverfront Bangkok. What totally made it for us was the staff, namely “Rin” the front desk manager. She was so gracious, kind, and attentive to every detail and requests we made. Speaking English fluently helped tremendously. House keeping staff, front door staff were always happy to see us no matter the short duration. Everyone greeted us with a smile. Thank you to RiN and the entire staff at Riverfront Bangkok! 😀

Pros and Cons
Quiet - but remote location (except for other noisy guests), great view, clean. Not much more to this hotel as far as places easy to hang out. Confusing to find at first. 7-11 and places to eat nearby are nice. BRT (fast bus) within easy walking distance leads to BTS (sky train) - which gives access to almost every part of Bangkok- easy once you've learned how it works. Free hotel shuttle great bonus! Bed was a tad too hard and no tub like pictured was disappointing. Otherwise happy to be there. Shuttle driver very helpful.

No washing machine in unit (I booked 2 bedrooms type) if you wish to use laundry/ Gyms must go to 3rd floor. Very frustrating by must buy the coins laundry from front desk (wash 60baht/ dryer 60) after dry your clothes not very dry, still must hang it. Gyms you also must asking access card from front desk. House keeper who helped me for put coins in to laundry machine on morning 16th March she’s not friendly at all. This all information you should improve for hotel guests since we are paid over USD100/ night.

A different part of Bangkok
The pluses are: the river view from the rooms,the large and well planned room, large and comfortable bed, availability of a shuttle service to a BTS station and to a shopping plaza. The minuses are: the run-down condition of the whole SV City complex within which the hotel is located, the bathrooms which need a make-over, and some guests who tend to talk loudly in the corridor, no BTS or BRT stations within walking distance, weak and intermittent WIFI reception. There are nice Korean and Japanese restaurants nearby.

Good value accommodation
Rooms were great size, staff very friendly. Nice views. Some local shops/restaurants but location wasn’t great as a tourist because the main attractions aren’t nice very accessible. Free shuttle to the skytrain which is convenient. Pool wasn’t useable whilst we were there.

I had a problem with the booking I reserved a King however the hotel decided that I was traveling solo and gave me a twin beds instead. Pool was closed. the local price again was 1/2 of what the price I paid for a SPECIAL DEAL thru Hotel.com

However, please allow me to explain that we were fully booked during the New Year and since we only received your booking the day before your arrival, the King size beds were unavailable for last minute bookings, not because you were a solo traveler. In terms of the price, I don't quite understand what you mean by the local price. But if you mean the normal room rate of the hotel, I can assure you that all the prices on the websites and walk-ins are parity but the rates may not be the same each period, depending on our occupancy and whether it's inclusive of breakfast. During the New Year, our rates tend to be higher than other times of the year but would be the same across the channel for personal booking. Thank you very much for your kind understanding. Like this hotel. Good rates and has river views. Wifi is good. It's in an area not frequented by regular tourists except the volume of Chinese groups who flood in and out. But the hotel has good transport links and has a quiet surrounding area with excellent cross river views. Restaurant is very nice and the hotel has most facilities you need.

Hotel not as described
This description of the hotel is misleading. The view of the river is almost non-existant. Everything you see is hanging clothes in other resident's balconies. The establishment is outdated. It looks very 80's. When we went to the room, the TV was not working. The engineer replaced with another old huge combo tv. The dust under the tv was the size of my thumb. The sink and bathtub were not draining the water. Toilet bawl was very low and inconvenient. No breakfast provided. Second bed in the room was a rollout bed, which in my opinion should only be provided upon request as extra bed and not as a standard bed. Very disappointed.
