“Great hotel in Thong Lo, Sukhumvit, Grung Thehp”

Excellent hotel, very accomodating and helpful staff, and very quiet despite the extension of the hotel next door. Never heard construction work once in 6 days but we were also never in the hotel before 4 pm on any day. Very centrally located in the Thong Lo area of Sukhumvit , a very trendy and upscale area with cool restaurants, art galleries, and design spaces. This is a great example of a moderately priced yet high quality hotel. Simple yet tasteful design, great breakfast cafe catering to all tastes (tired Western, Thai, etc.), although he best food is still on the streets. Learn a few words in Thai and you'll get that much further.

This is a very new hotel. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The Hotel staff are extremely helpful and professional. The location is very close to the skytrain and very accessable. I would however recommend that you carry one of the hotel's buisness cards (with directions in thai) for help when taking taxis. The rooms are beautifully furnished. The air conditioning is excellent and i loved that the outlets worked with my hair straightener and our phone chargers (U.S.). We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and our food was excellent. We will definitely book this hotel for our next trip!!

“The Best Hotel in Bangkok, a hidden treasure.”

If you want a boutique style hotel with plenty of character and very friendly, personal staff Salil Hotel Sukhumvit-Soi Thonglor 1 is the one to go to. You hardly know you are in Bangkok as it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of a big city, but very close to the heart and a few minutes to the skytrain. I loved the personal touches of very friendly staff. Things weren't always perfect, but what in life is, I'd rather have a down to earth, caring place to stay. The quality of everything was perfect for me and I will definitely be recommending it to others and I'll be back to stay again. Definitely request a room with a balcony. ( I don't really want to tell everyone, they'll all want to go there!)

“nice and quiet”

A bit further from the CBD than I expected but still convenient via the skytrain. Rooms are very small but very bright and comfortable and the location means it's quiet. Staff was great with directions, assistance, travel planning help. Food was so-so but convenient and quite inexpensive. I will stay there again in the future.

“A quiet hide away”

This is a small boutique type hotel, very clean and off the hustle and bustle and noise of the normal tourist haunts. Ideal for a family with small kids or someone after a quiet place to just relax .

“Quaint hotel and surprisingly quiet location”

Although not situated in the most convenient location, the Salil benefits from quiet surroundings. Great for a good nights sleep. Rooms are very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. I've stayed at both Salil hotels in Bangkok, the other is on Sukumvit 8, and this is the nicest of the two. I'd stay there again without hesitation.

“Would go back”

Wifi only worked good in hotel lobby. Had to use hotel room key for elec. power in room so AC was turned off when we left. Hotel staff finally straightened this out by allowing a 2nd key to be left in power disconnect when we left for the day. Hotel resturant served reasonbly priced good food and the tuk tuk taxi service to the sky train was free, friendly and quick. Never figured out how to get the ride back, but it was only a 3 block walk. Hotel setting is in a quiet neighborhood but not very far from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.

the hotel view is compacted and hidden by other old buildings, need to be clean the area if posible.the staff are fantastic .They might need a small lift to go to 3rd and 4th floor hard to carry or pull bags up and down. Hope they will upgrade it.Food is cheap and wonderful.
