“Great Deal”

I have stayed at a few Bangkok Airport area hotels, this is the best by far. The hotel is a little far from the hotel, but they have a shuttle. It is located in a busy area and is walking distance to food, massage palors and banks. This is THE place to stay in the airport area. The rooms are clean, and the hotel looks new. I will stay here again when I need to stay near the airport!

“Pleasantly Surprised”

I was so confused by previous reviews whether I should expect this hotel to be a good idea or a horrible idea.... it turned out to be perfect for what I needed, a hotel to stay at for a 20 hour layover. The restaurant was delicious, not too expensive and had their seating in a beautiful GARDEN. The hotel room was clean and comfortable with functioning A/C (although with the balcony and windows I barely used it) and clean bathroom. The free airport shuttle was great. The surrounding area included a couple mini-marts, a bank, and an afternoon/evening market with delicious, inexpensive food and really nice sellers. I was overall pleasantly surprised and extremely happy with my experience at Silver Gold Garden Suvarnabhumi Airport.

“"awesome"”

Would highly recommend the hotel - Incredible! My flight got from Phuket at 1:00 am in the morning and the hotel sent a free shuttle to pick me up. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and very close to the airport. They also provided me with free transporation to the airport.

“Clean hotel in a crappy area”

Stayed in this hotel a few nights ago and while I thought it was clean, there were geckos running around all over including my room and the neighborhood was a bit seedy. I spent 300 bhat to have a taxi take me back to Sukhumvit rather than do my last day of shopping in the sounding area.

Area recommendations

Highly recommend Sukhumvit which is a more touristy and wealthy part of Bangkok for the initial visit to Bangkok.

“more value for the money”

Best part of the hotel is the farmers market accross the road,find anything you are looking for.7eleven and two other convenient stores not far away, open 24 hrs,ATM few feet away. Few minutes from the air port and bus terminal, If you plan to travel within thailand good location coin laundry within the hotel. Met a retiree who spends six months in silvergold garden. Two restaurants one with a breath taking view. only minus is lot of stray dogs around while walking out at night barking noice. Friendly staff with some communication problem, even you reach the hotel at 3AM there is massage for your aching feet its 24 hr service.

Area recommendations

Patata beach, it,s a beautiful beach by bus 124 bhts, cab 1300 bhts. if you are going as a group taxi is the cheapest, tiger zoo and chinese circus is a must for any age group, day is not enough for shopping.

“Great rates, convenient to airport”

i was very happy with my stay here. I arrived late at night, the van was present and took me to the hotel promptly. The hotel is clean and quiet. Rooms are not particularly spacious, but are certainly adequate for an overnight stay when going to and from the airport.

“EXCELLENT HOTEL IN HOI AM, VIETNAM”

I thougt this hotel was a terrific value. It is right near the waterfront where everything seems to be happening and the neighborhood seems very safe. The staff was extremely helpful as when I asked about a nearby restaurant I was sent to an excellent one. I would highly recommend it.

See above. The waterfront is where it all happens and the old city tour is excellent.

What to pack

As little as possible. I filled a small wheeled suitcase which I sent through as luggage for a two week stay. In Viet Nam laundry is an incredible bargain $1.00 US per Kilo.
