Great hotel on the riverPosted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed everything about this hotel.
Cons: I have to say pretty much everything about this hotel was spot on for our trip.
Location: The location on the river was perfect.
We had an excellent stay at The Peninsula. We were upgraded to a suite which was extremely spacious and comfortable. The room was perfectly clean and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff was exceptional. It was a great location on the river with the hotel offering a prompt water ferry to different locations - this in itself was a highlight. The food at the Thai restaurant on the water was delicious and the breakfast was also great. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Bangkok.

Fabulous hotel, but.....Posted Jan 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
The rooms, swimming pool and the grounds are a delight. Concierge is great - nothing is too much trouble. Housekeeping is excellent, BUT the F&B service is very poor indeed; the staff are untrained and have 'attitude' - The River Café is the worst. This is a management issue. In 6 nights (this trip & over Christmas) I have yet to set eyes on the F&B Director anywhere in the hotel. This unfortunately negates all the good stuff and lets down the Peninsula name. Front desk is equally unimpressive!

Lovely hotel, but......Posted Dec 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
F&B management not up to scratch for such a lovely hotel. Check In: if they had concentrated more on writing down my credit card details correctly and less on the blah blah bowing and scraping I'd have been a happier Guest!

Easy LuxuryPosted Dec 22, 2013
The Peninsula is right on the river and it's fun to watch the boats go by. They have their own boats to take you across the river at frequent intervals. The rooms are spacious, gorgeous, luxurious, and comfortable and have huge windows. The staff are very helpful and competent. The spa massages were of the highest quality in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We enjoyed the Thai restaurant very much. For an extra treat, take a cab to Gaggan restaurant, where molecular gastronomy meets Indian for a divine foodie experience.

Amazing service within a luxurious environmentPosted Nov 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved our stay at the Peninsula! Our room was large, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed, with a sweeping view of the river. It was, however, the service that made our stay memorable. Discrete, attentive , polished, knowledgeable and personable, the staff at the Peninsula strove to meet our every need. The Peninsula , for us , is the gold standard of a five star hotel.
