“Better than perfect”

The hotel is beautiful, between skyscrappers nobody would believe such place is hidden. I stayed in a suite which left me in awe. The Spa gave amazing treatments. The staff is beyond professional, some of the staff could speak better english but most of them were fluent. I wish they had hotels like this everywhere

“Tranquility and Character”

The Sukhothai hotel is an oasis in a town that travels at 120 Mph , usually in the back of a Tut Tut ! The Ground floor Garden suite I was given was beautiful with views over a lilly pond. A huge suite with every amenity you would desire. Service was superb throughout my stay. It happened that the celedon restaurant in the hotel is regarded as one of the finest thai restaurants in Bangkok. It was a delight but be aware that a bottle of San Pelligrino costs £6-50 ! I also went next door to the Banyan Tree for dinner at its open roof top restaurant on the 61st floor. Having had what I would call a very average meal and walked through a rather drab reception I was very pleased I was not staying there. The Sukhothai provided me with a limousine to a shopping area, as we were the only couple waiting for their shuttle. The breakfast is also not to be missed. A delicious choice that would satisfy anyone. Together with free Wi-fi in the room , which is one of my hotel bug bears , I would heartily recommend this classic hotel over some of its modern competitors. Would definitely go back should I be stopping in Bangkok.

“One of the best hotels I've stay in”

A really cool hotel we saw in the Hip Hotels book. In a buzzing city like Bangkok, it has a stylish and relaxing atmosphere. A real oasis which we will defiantly return to.

“Sheer class”

The Sukhothai is a zen paradise in the middle of one of the World's most vibrant cities. Unlike it's other 5 star rivals in town, the Sukhothai doesn't aim for opulence. Instead it's low rise, minimalist and understated but very elegant and exceptionally classy, evoking a style and charm difficult to find elsewhere. The hotel isn't new and it's 15 years can show in parts but rather than looking aged, it assumes real character. There's a central design theme and this is carried on in virtually every part of the hotel giving it a very calm feel. Where the Sukhothai really wins though is that everything is done just right. The care they take with every detail is exceptional. From limos, to restaurants, to room service it's all of the highest quality. I'd also recommend a garden view, it just tops off the whole experience.

“Wonderful Hotel”

This was our last stop after a month of travelling Asia before retrurning home. The rooms are wonderful, beds extremly comfy with all the amenties that you would expect from a hotel of this standard.During our stay of one night I did not leave the hotel,I was more than happy to sit by the pool and relax.The lesuire centre is well equiped and great changing rooms, the shower pressure is excellent. We did have the Asian buffet in the hotel and I did not think it was as good as The Oriental's buffet. As with all hotels of this calibre they sting you for all the "extras" the SPA was outrageously over priced, more expensive than London.

“Terrific Experience”

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. The rooms were huge and wonderfully laid out (with the ample closet between the bedroom and bathroom so neither area got messy with your suitcases.) Each morning a new batch of homemade truffles and thai fruits were made available (gratis.) The central location made getting around Bangkok easy. The restaurants were superlative--especially Celadon. The staff were gracious and attentive without being overbearing.
