Enjoyed the stay

Nice hotel, friendly staff and great room. I liked the location which is just down from Lumpini MRT exit 2. The only drawback was finding a close convenient store for snacks rather than pay the inflated mini bar prices.

Awesome in every way

Pros: Everything.
Loved the hotel, the staff, the amenities. It was all great. Location to the MRT is great. Wish it were closer to things within walking distance, but Bangkok is all spread out anyway.

Luxury Hotel, an oasis in central Bangkok

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: I liked: Plate of hand-made chocolates in room every night, gardens, water-features, breakfasts, pool and health club, Scala restaurant, etc, etc.
Cons: For tours, concierge had a brochure for one tour company (who are good ) and that was it. Availability of more brochures would have been appreciated.
Location: It's central and everything is easily (and cheaply) available by taxi.
Our first visit to Bangkok and wanted to spoil ourselves a bit after a hard day's sightseeing. We certainly chose the right hotel. One small regret is that we pre-booked a few tours which did not allow us as much time in the hotel as we would have wished, once we realised how good it was. Our stay was a 4 day, 3 night long weekend and we had an evening tour, a full day tour and a half-day tour in that period. We had opted for an Executive Suite and it lived up to our hopes; great space, highest quality fitments and, I know there were other people in the same part of the hotel (because I met them in the corridor) but you would not have known it once the room door was shut. We had a day tour on our first full day in Bangkok. This was the Floating Markets/Tiger Temple/ River Kwai Bridge tour and it overran so we did not get back to the hotel till after 7pm, tired, hot and dusty. We ordered a room service dinner then, freshly showered and sitting in our hotel robes, had one of the best eating experiences I can remember for some time. Simple food, but as hot as it would have been in the restaurant, white wine chilled to the bone and even a hot cupboard keeping desserts warm. That was the most demanding task we set hotel staff, but in all aspects they were courteously efficient. Another evening we ate in the Scala restaurant, which could be pricey but pizzas are very reasonable and excellent. We will definitely be back; no question!

A great luxury hotel in the city

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Location is excellent. Great gym and the service is impeccable.
Cons: The rooms are much smaller compared to other hotels in Bangkok.
Location: In Sathorn, walking distance to the Silom and a quick drive to the shopping belt.
A beautiful property, very well maintained, equipped with a nice sized pool, gym, business centre, restaurants and so on. The attention to detail is great - service staff engages with you, iPod dock in room, hand fans at the pool, etc. Great for business travellers and free and independent travellers. Highly recommended.

Faultless

Posted May 4, 2014
Cons: The only downside is that the hotel isn't closer to sky train station as other 5 star hotels, but it is still day to get around.
Stayed 2 nights in executive suite. From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable. I also had the hotel car service from the airport to the hotel as we were arriving during peak hour so if you have to sit in Bangkok traffic best to be in comfort and cars have complimentary wifi. The decor, cleanliness of the rooms and common areas were excellent, but most impressed with the friendliness and attentiveness of all the staff. Concierge was knowledgable and helped with restaurant bookings and tour bookings, nothing was too difficult. Definitely recommend this hotel and will return.

Good hotel, but expensive food

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Room and service
Cons: Cheaper and better menu for vegetarians
Location: Lumphini park is very near. And a health centre with a few restuarants near by with much cheaper food on the corner of the road.
A very nice luxury hotel, with helpful staff. Nice clean room can't fault it. But the food is expensive with breakfast coming in at £16 and a in room dining for 2 cost almost £50. To me this appears as a hotel for business people. They did have a Mercedes S class for taxi purposes which i liked. Which cost 3500bht for a ride. They had about 3 restaurants but they didn't really cater well for Vegetarians so had to eat outside or just kept ordering pizza and pasta. Although this place is expensive you do get peace of mind and security which i value. If you want to go out shopping its only a few miles to Sukhomvit road. Overall a very good hotel, but if you want to go out walking and shopping then it might be better to get a hotel off Sukhomvit Road. Oh yes don't go to Thailand on new years day (+ 3 days) as you will get water thrown over you as part of their celebration from people on the street.

Beautiful Hotel

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Facilities of hotel is of high quality and variety. Room is spacious.
Cons: Deposit could be lowered.
Location: Shopping
Apart from the deposit, which they allow to me pay upon check out if required, it is a very good hotel. Swimming pool is clean and rooms are spacious and beautiful.
