Hotel within walking distance to Silom Complex

Posted Dec 24, 2014
Pros: nothing i like this time round as compared to my last year trip.
Cons: More mindful and proactive towards customer special request and needs.
Location: Patpong and Silom Complex within walking distance (7 mins)
Second time staying in Urbana Sathorn, the facilities kind of run-down. Lots of trivial things like iron, iron-board, bed room slippers, bottle opener needs to request then they will provide as compared to Dec 2013 all mentioned items were provided, one important thing there is totally no Kitchen scissor, prepare your own scissor (if need be). Really disappointed with their service, I have requested late check- out ( not for free, it costed me THB2000) together with my on-line booking but it defeated the purpose to put up the comment as this will not be taken care till the day of my check-out early in the morning I have to call the customer service to confirm am I allow to proceed with my extension of check-out time. Can you imagine, instead of continuing my sleep but because of the late check-out extension, i need to wake up at 8 am just to call the customer service to confirm, this is something I felt the hotel should be more mindful and should be more proactive instead of causes inconvenient to the customer. Really disappointed and this will be my last time staying in Urbana Sathorn hotel.

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros:
Cons:

Posted Nov 12, 2014

Excellent place, superb pool, courteous staff

Posted Nov 2, 2014
Pros: Full kitchenette replete with microwave, induction top, OTG, refrigerator. Clean, modern suite. Good location. Good facilities. Courteous staff.
I stayed in a 2 bedroom premier suite for 5 days with my family. Suite was clean with all modern amenities. Full kitchenette replete with microwave, induction top, OTG, refrigerator and a washing machine. Breathtaking view of the city from 2 galleries and location is bang on the road with a foot overbridge access just in front of the hotel. Wonderful swimming pool with a superb kids pool and a jaccuzi. The staff is courteous and problems faced are fixed immediately. We had a bad experience with taxis and tuk tuks at Bangkok, but the reception staff assisted us to get a meter taxi and airport taxi which was very good. Overall great place to stay.

The hotel itself is okay but a lil in middle of nowhere... The biggest problem, this suppose to be a 5 star hotel and there is no wifi included, you habe to pay around 350 bat each day, thats incredible!

Handy to the central business district

Posted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: Location, comfort, staff
Cons: Make sure there are instructions for how to use the cooking faciities in the self contained units
Location: I was there on business and it was well located to embassies and the CBD. The MRT is just 10 mins walk and that connects you everything
If I need to be in central Bangkok the I will stay at the Urbana. It was comfortable, well run and if you look then you find some good deals

Posted Oct 20, 2014
