“not impressed”
Locotion to the college was great. the town of Orono is in poor condition, Roads and shops were in poor condition,This hotel is a fifty dollar a night hotel. not what i paid. The shower and sink drains backed up when in use, not so pleasant. No fridge or micro in rooms. I had to book book this room on short notice. Sure you could do better in Bangor only about ten miles away.
“Decent and well priced but a little dated.”
The exterior of the Inn is nicely renovated, but the interior is a little dated. The room was clean and comfortable but older and fairly basic other than the flat screen TV. Was surprised there wasn't the usual pen/paper in the room and there was no elevator so had to lug stuff up to our 2nd floor room, but still was very good bang for the buck. Bed/pillows were okay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is fairly good, close to the I-95 and not all that far from the Bangor mall district either. Would recommend for a one night stay. Did not expect the free "hot" breakfast, but it was a bit disappointing.
“college stay”
I loved the Inn.it was conveniently located to the college and worked for me coming from out of state.the hot breakfast was an added plus.price was a bit steep .On my last day the power went out but i rolled with the flow and all was well within a couple hours. would highly recommend that they look into a generator for such as they were a couple disgruntled patrons!the staff was great and very accommodating.thanks. wil be back!
“Perfect for a Night”
We recently stayed here overnight, as we live 3.5 hours away from Orono. We had never been to the area, but my other half may be attending UMO in the Fall for graduate school. It was a great place for a quick visit, breakfast was pretty decent! They have just redone the exterior of the motel, and it looks fabulous compared to the old pictures... it fits right in.
“Bangor ME”
The in room kitchen was convenient. The breakfast was filling, but basic. The mojito at the pool was great, with fresh mint. Overall good value for your money.
“Good Value”
Hotel is clean and safe with a good location between the small downtown area of Orono and the University of Maine. Hotel could use updating. Staff was friendly and accomadating. They also have a nice little buffet style breakfast that is included with your stay.
“Great people, great location”
Friendly, helpful staff. Hotel rooms a bit plain, but still nice. Breakfast was good. Cross the bridge, then left to downtown or right to a lovely, groomed trail along the river -- two minutes walking and you're there. Hotel is on the island, practically on the same road as UMaine, which is a minute away by car. They have a large lawn leading down to the river, and canoes and kayaks available for use. Saturdays (Tues in summer) a GREAT farmer's market in the UMaine steam plant pkg lot. We have stayed here many times;you can't beat the location and the friendly staff is willing to help out with any questions or concerns.
