Found it a bit oppressive with people from another culture, felt a bit uncomfortable.

Comfortable hotel in good location
Clean and comfortable hotel in a good location on the river. Friendly staff, nice ambience, decent pool and the extra benefit of an early morning boat trip up river to the floating market. Definitely recommend.

Very good hotel, best location.
Really good hotel, very comfortable rooms. Staff is very friendly. The purpose of our visit was for sightseeing. We are exchange students from The Netherlands, currently studying in Jakarta, and we want to see as much of the country as possible. We visited the floating market, free for 1 person when arranged by hotel, Duta Malll, Dayak, rainforest and bamboo rafting and some sightseeing through the city. The location of the hotel is perfect, next to the water, so no other transportation to the floating market needed. Also very close to the city centre, just walking distance. We just walked from our hotel along the water to see the locals and to experience the distinct culture. In total, we stayed 4 nights in the hotel. A bit too long for the city, mostly used for business people and travels who stay here for just 1 night, but just for the hotel I would stay another night since it was really comfortable. Breakfast was mainly Indonesian, but tasty.

I had a small surprise when knowing that breakfast was not included on my booking. So, you have to be very careful read your booking condition or hotels.com should explicitly explain the booking condition easily without need to explore the whole webpage. On the river which allows easy boat trips.
Liked the hotel design, which incorporates wood-carved design of local culture. Daily local live music in the lobby of local Kalimantan traditional music. Enjoyed that, except only at breakfast the music is a bit too loud and annoying early in the morning.

although the hotel is well located on the river bank central to the city thats where my good comments end. the menu in the restaurant is poor for an international hotel. as this hotel is multi story with no lift facilities it is very tiring carrying your luggage up and down stairs. very poor for a international standard hotel.

インドネシア人の為のホテルである。外国人は泊まらないほうが無難である。
宿泊当日、結婚式の大きなセレモニーがあり我々外国人旅行者にはほとんど気を使ってもらえなかった。食事を兼ねてShopping Mallへ行く時でさえ、タクシーの手配すらしてもらえなかった。 夕食時にもホテル内のコーヒーショップは貸し切りの予約客だけしか食事が出来ずに、当惑した。 又何の連絡も前もってなかった為、非常に不愉快な思いをした。WiFiも殆ど使えない。

The best hôtel in Kalimantan
Super séjour dans cet hôtel que je considère comme le meilleur du Kalimantan. Quasiment fini d'être rénové, les chambres sont grandes et très confortables. Il y a même TV5MONDE, une première en Indonésie. Le service est top. le personnel très sympa. L'hôtel offre même chaque matin à 5h30 une excursion gratuite en bateau pour le marché flottant de Lok Balintan.
