Nice old school motel, friendly employees, GREAT location. With the shuttles for the park available you don't need your car. We will definetly be back.

An older motel, but well kept, quiet, and clean. Great value for your money and close to everything downtown. Service was good too.

“Satisfactory for a night or two”

The Anchorage Motel has a great location in Bar Harbor, ME. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but otherwise nothing special. If you are looking for a place where you are passing through for the night, the combination of price and quality work. My only complaint was using their wireless internet. I was in a room fairly distant from their wireless hotspot and the only way I could get service was by propping my laptop up right next to the window and hunching over it.

“Good location, average motel experience”

Should you plan to spend time in your hotel room, consider upgrading to a better accommodation. While the rooms are nicely sized, they are outdated. Bathroom is simple but functional, if not entirely clean.

“Convenient Location, No Thrills Motel”

Last minute booking, excited to be centrally located to town for easy visits with teenagers, but the motel was basic at best. Bring your own everything is my suggestion.

“Bar Harbor / Acadia Location Location”

The Motel is over priced if you do not take into consideration it's location. Almost everything is in walking distance from the rooms front door. The motel is rather old and in need of repair I agree with former reviewers. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable nothing special, amenities are not abundant. Needed to bring own toiletries shampoo, body wash etc. they did supply soap. If you just need a roof over your head a bed under you tired body and a place to keep your gear while visiting, this is an O K place.

A very basic motel with a higher price tag and hotel staff lacked basic communication such as when telephone system was out and they didn't explain this.
