Nice but no viewPosted Oct 23, 2013
Expected more of an inn experience. A few blocks to walk to downtown. Nice at first but got old after a couple of days. No morning options for breakfast or anything beyond coffee and apples. Good mattress but rough sheets.

Gem in Bar HarborPosted Oct 19, 2013
Courteous staff who gave us good information about the park closure and things to do in the area. Nice place with reasonable rates. Would definitely stay there again.

Great value for the money!Posted Oct 18, 2013
Location: Bar Harbor Whale Watch, shopping, Bar Island, Acadia National Park...so much to do!
Our stay at Bar Harbor Manor was fabulous! We enjoyed it so much that we booked for a second night. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Bar Harbor, within walking distance to Bar Island, countless restaurants, Bar Harbor Whale Watch and downtown shopping. The rooms we stayed in (one in the hotel and one in the inn) were spotless, furnished with modern furniture. The beds were comfortable. There is nothing that we would suggest they change to better accommodate their guests. The front desk staff went out of their way to guide us in things to do in the area. Despite the fact that Acadia National Park was "closed" due to the government shut-down, the hotel staff encouraged us to park and walk into the park. We followed their advice and had the time of our lives!!

Excellent hotel in good locationPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: Very large comfortable room with a spacious bathroom and lovely outlook.
Cons: This is a personal thing but like a great many hotels the shower head was fixed which is not good for women, especially short ones!
Location: Bar Harbor itself and of course Acadia National Park but do try and get to Bass Head, Northeast Harbor and Southeast Harbor as well as the main park.
This hotel is very nice and only a few minutes walk from everything in Bar Harbor and a short drive to Acadia national Park

Bar Harbor Manor, MEPosted Sep 14, 2013
Couple of blocks from the harbor and on a quiet street. Staff was helpful and nice. Each room had a small porch/balcony, which was nice. I would certainly stay there again.

Clean hotel walking distance to the beachPosted Sep 3, 2013
Location: Walking distance to the town. Nothing scenic about the place.
Clean facility, not much of interaction with clients. Good location close to the town everything was at walking distance. Not anywhere close to the beach.
