“Beautiful View”

The hotel as very well kept, clean, comfortable, affordable, and the staff was friendly and accomodating. But the view---the view was spectacular from the balcony. Our room overlooked the bay and we could watch the sunrise and set or the mist roll in. Beautiful. Will definitely stay there next year

“Clorox meets the Sea”

The hotel is definitely walking distance from the main part of Bar Harbor. It's roughly 1.5 miles, partly along a 2-lane highway on a narrow walking trail close to the street, so be careful at night. The room itself smelled like clorox. They need to chill on the harsh cleaning products because there is no fan in the bathroom to ventilate. The bed linens were very clean and the bed was comfortable. They had a humidifier in the room which seems necessary because the carpet was somewhat damp when we arrived and throughout our 2-night visit. We weren't sure if they just shampooed or not... The breakfast is basic, no hot foods just pastries, breakfast bars, bagels, cereal, etc. Very close proximity to Acadia Nat'l Park but you'd need to drive there because there is no walking path directly there and the road is the same 2-lane that leads to Bar Harbor proper. Overall my mom and I were satisfied. We had a decent view of the water but with some closed down docking area in front, not ideal but water views are priceless especially for someone who lives in a city. They supplied toiletries we had forgotten as well. The walls are a bit thin. We could hear our neighbor hacking up a lung on occasion and a car roll by here and there, but otherwise we slept very well.

We began our week long stay in Maine in Bar Harbor. We planned to visit Acadia National Park for two days. The Days Inn was just a couple of miles from the main entrance, making it ideal for our purposes. The room was not fancy, but clean and well maintained. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was basic, but got us started on our day. Excellent value!

View of the bay, close to town. Overall, if you just need a place to sleep and want a good deal- this is a good place to stay. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

we would go back, clean rooms,check in and out very good since we had to back out of one night because of hurrican irene. the staff was very nice. The outside of hotel needs repair and paint. We had a room overlooking ocean, very nice. We left something at hotel, when we got home there was a message, saying they found it and were mailing to us. very nice staff.
