Awesome room, great staff, great location.

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Location was great. Staff was friendly Breakfast was awesome
Cons: Nothing, everything was great.
Location: Downtown shopping, L.L. Bean outlet store, restaurants, and Acadia National Park.
This was the second stay of 3 at a Hampton Inn in Maine. It was by far the best one my wife and I stayed at. The rooms were set up to think you were staying in your own apartment complex. The room was very roomy and comfortable. The front desk was very accommodating and suggested a great place to eat dinner. Our room didn't have a mini fridge so I asked for one and there were no questions asked and no extra charge. The cleaning staff would wait until we would leave to clean our room. The location was just off the main road so we heard no traffic. Couldn't hear any people in any of the other rooms or doors banging. The pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing. The breakfast area was large and the food was varied each day we stayed there. The breakfast area was a little cold but the friendly staff made up for it. We stayed a total of (3) days. This location is only 20 minutes from Acadia National Park where we visited for two days.

Comfortable and Clean

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: The hotel is closet Ellsworth shopping and to Acadia National Park. The bed was very comfortable. The free breakfast was OK. The staff was great.
Cons: The TV in the room is relatively small. The breakfast eggs would be better if not mixed with whatever is added to make them fluffy and kind of fake.
Location: Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and Ellsworth.
My wife& I stayed a night and we loved the room. I requested a couple more pillows and the staff brought them up. The hotel is very clean and everything was decorated really well.

Nice place

This is a very nice place in a great location. The breakfast was good and the breakfast area was very large. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Be careful on the lobby floor though, it's pretty slick for whatever reason.

Great hotel with fantastic service

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Clean, service, breakfast, location
Cons: Can add a mini-fridge to the room
Location: Close to Walgreen, Hanaford and McDonald's. 20 minutes drive to the lobster pound and 30 minutes drive to the park.
We shortened our stay to one night because some emergencies. The overall experience was fantastic. Great service, spotless clean room and facilities and great location to the park. At this price level, this hotel is really above my expectation. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking forward to spend a couple of nights at Acadia National Park.

Comfy, cozy and clean!

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The pool was super warm and clean featuring salt water!!
Location: We enjoyed Acadia Park and Cadillac Mt as well as beaches and great places to eat!
Our room at the Hampton was very comfortable with beds that were not too soft and not too hard. I rated the complimentary breakfast above any I have had in the past at other places. The staff was pleasant and helpful at all times! My husband and I will definitely stay at the Hampton in Ellsworth next year on our Bar Harbor trip!

It was a trip to remember my Daughter had not been back to BAR HARBOR in 20 years. I also had not been there in 10 years and this was my granddaughters 1st trip age 9 she so enjoyed it. Can't wait for our next stay we had a nice breakfast every morning. I am so happy to have stayed at a Hampton Inn.
