Sterile and dullPosted Oct 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Bar Harbor is such a pretty little town you are betters off staying in a nice place that is in keeping with the environment. This hotel felt like any stock standard Hwy hotel. Breakfast was across the street in another building. Not exactly he type of place you can relax in after spending the day in Acadia National Park

Nice Weekend in Bar HarbarPosted Oct 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
Went to Bar Harbor for the week-end and really enjoyed the stay. Hotel is easy to find, close to most everything but away from the cruize ship crowd when they were in port. Had a good breakfast with stay, eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, etc. Was all good.

Good deal, great location between town and AcadiaPosted Oct 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was great. I liked the private entrance, outdoor space, spacious interior and little kitchenette. The only con I had was with the bathrooms, which was a bit tight and showering apparently sets off the smoke detector. Thus, the bathroom seems smaller than it is when you have to keep the door closed all the time.

Convenient locationPosted Oct 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Only concern was lack of elevator and that while the photo seems to be of a hotel which rooms are accessed from inside, in fact all room access from either the immediate ground or a covered balcony. It is an old-style motel well renovated, but difficult for access and creates some safety concerns for single travelers. Still a nice place.

I need of updatingPosted Oct 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was very dark and in need of updating. The carpet was very old, the bedspread was stained and the towels were very thin. It was very close to Acadia National Park and not far from downtown Bar Harbor. Breakfast is provided in a building across the street but was quite good with many choices.

Two floors and no elevatorPosted Oct 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Everything was fine except that there is no elevator and I had to climb stairs. This is a Old-style motel with all rooms off exterior balconies. Close to downtown and nearby cafe for breakfast.

The Hotel is in a great location - just outside of downtown Bar Harbor - you could actually walk to the village green - its about half a mile - and given what traffic and parking can be like, this is a huge advantage. The room was clean, comfortable, the beds were good, the free breakfasts pretty good - about what you get at better business hotels - hot food and some variety day to day.. Desk staff helpful. Two small downsides - a couple of nights after dinner the hot water ran out, and the internet was often intermittent - if I had been on a business trip it would have been unacceptable. It might have been that we were at the far end of the building, but it was a real problem.
