“Very comfortable stay”

We had a very nice stay at the Wonder View. We have two children (ages 6 and 11) and were not looking for resort-level services. The room was very spacious and clean, and we had a fantastic view of the the ocean. The location was great, just a few minutes from downtown and Acadia. We will definitely come back next year.

Set on top of a hill, the rooms have balconies with a fantastic view; you can see over the town of Bar Harbor and see the islands in the bay.

This motel has everything you need- TV, fridge, free internet computer in the lobby, free coffee all day in the lobby, and a balcony with a great view! I would stay at the Wonderview Inn and Suites again :-)

i am planning to go back to bar harbor in spring of 2008 and will try to book to stay in this hotel again.

“Great place for the price”

Although we stayed in a part that was noticibly older, the room was clean and comfortable. The only real thing that bothered me was the golf carts with maintenance men zooming by early in the morning. We had a partial view of the water and the staff was very pleasant. I would stay again, but not on a road side so I can sleep in a little later than 7am.

“Every room has a view to the bay”

The hotel is located on a hilltop about 3 minutes drive from downtown Bar Harbor and you can also walk there. All rooms have a view to Frenchman's Bay. The Looking Glass restaurant, located above the hotel, has the best views. The rooms are standard, nothing fancy, but we were not planning to spend the time inside anyway. There was a public computer in the lobby, but it did not work very well. There is also a pool, but we have not used it. Overall, it was a very pleasant surprise.

“Very nice place to base yourself when visiting Bar Harbor”

This is a beautiful property and the rates were very reasonable, even in the height of summer. Every person I came in contact with was very nice and eager to please. The views we had were beautiful, overlooking the town of Bar Harbor and in the distance, Frenchman's Bay. Every place in Bar Harbor is near Acadia National Park, and if you do not visit that park, you have wasted a precious opportunity. Internet access was poor in the room.

“WILL return! Wonderview is a NEW family tradition!”

From the intro to exit, this Inn provides the "oldfashioned" charm of New England and the Inn keepers that started it! Our view was breathtaking and the coffee at the welcome/office was diverse and delightful. The internet access and the Island Explorer bus/stop made access to the world and the island almost effortless! This Inn was a memory maker!

“The best view in Bar Harbor!”

We enjoyed everything, the restaurant, our room, the view, the location (close to the town and Acadia Park.
