Pleasant interludePosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: The beds, the views, the eating area with more views, the helpful staff and the excellent location. It all felt very comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom was dated and spaces are tight but did love the shower.
Location: Motel is within walking distance of many good restaurants in town, is close to Acadia Park, and picturesque areas close by. Easy access to everything.
This is a very comfortable place to stay, close to town, high on a hill with lovely views out to sea and the village of Bar Harbor. The property is spacious with sweeping grounds. The motel sits on a buff, away from street traffic noise with easy access to route 3.

Location: Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park could keep one active for weeks with the mountains, ocean, islands, trails, and beautiful scenery!
This was the nicest hotel in town 60 years ago, but she's showing her age.

The inn was nice. A little outdated.Posted Aug 4, 2014
We were comfortable. We had a nice view of the ocean. The staff was very nice and accommodating when we needed extra toiletries. Pool was clean, but my daughter did find broken pieces of tile on the pool bottom.

The view makes everything better....Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The view was fantastic (redundant, but worth it). Sunrises from the little balcony were amazing. Location was key.
Cons: Rooms, furniture, decor are dated, but serviceable. Bathrooms were fine. Room service was late in the day, which was slightly annoying, pool was cold!
Location: Sunset whale watch, Acadia hiking, Sand Beach, Stewman's for dinner - super fun with a tween.
Great, chippy and cheerful motel-y hotel walking distance to everything you want, but not too close to be bothered by revelers. Great. View.

Great hotel when visiting Bar Harbor and AcadiaPosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Liked the views of the ocean/harbor area from the room, the nice expansive grounds of the property, the free breakfast in the hotel lobby area.
Cons: The place could use some updating.
Location: A short 10 minute walk to Bar Harbor shops and restaurants. A short drive to Acadia National Park.
Had an issue with the room upon arrival, however the young lady at the front desk worked quickly to resolve the issue and the entire stay there was very nice. Found staff to be friendly and the proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia was very good.

Old but cleanPosted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Location to downtown. You could walk
Cons: Bathroom. Needs updating
Location: Close to everything
Bed was fine and the room was clean but the bathroom is old and small. It had a great view with a little deck in the back but everything worked. I wouldn't recommend to friends.because they are neat freaks and wouldn't like the bathroom.

Hello? The 70's called and want their motel back.Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Staff, proximity to downtown
Cons: Up-date the facilities
This facility was grossly over-priced. If you can get a room there really cheaply it would be OK. Otherwise look elsewhere - no headboard on the bed, tacky plastic panels making up the walls, no room in the bathroom for toiletries, running toilet, TV remote falling apart, no milk for breakfast cereal ("We ran out yesterday and are waiting for a delivery" - you can't stop at the store?). This place is in serious need of updating. Also the view they tout is only present in the winter. The only good things were the helpful staff and the fact that the one mile walk to downtown made it convenient.
