Not as preceivedPosted Oct 9, 2013
1950 style hotel clean but not worth the 135 a night. Problems with water closee lamp had a short in the wiring and blew two bulbs. Sign out front said rooms for 89 a night on line they were 135 plus tax.

Not worth the troublePosted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: See above. Its setting.
Cons: At least one of the staff and, certainly, a good upgrade.
Location: All that Acadia National Park is.
It promises much more than it delivers. Photos on Expedia are flattering but misleading. Rooms are antiquated (at least mine was). Sink too small for an average adult (I kept banging my head on shelf while washing). Mattress very uncomfortable. TV old and placed in a very odd location. It's a shame, as its park like location is really beautiful. Lobby (where only coffee is served) supposed to open at 6:30 but did not until after 7 (i am an early bird so it was important to me).

Nice but no viewPosted Sep 28, 2013
Convenience enough hotel is old rooms are small there's no view. so they need to change the name of the hotel.

Near AcadiaPosted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: Convenient location
This hotel was conveniently located for touring Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. It is an older facility, very basic, but adequate for our needs. It was clean. The view from the hotel was limited due to tree growth across the road, beyond the control of the owner. You can see small sections of the bay over the tree tops.

serious need for upgradePosted Sep 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is in the need of a serious upgrade. Room was way out of date. Bathroom very small and showed it's age. Restaurant was excellent with spectacular views.

Old motelPosted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: The view was nice.
Location: Acadia National Park
The view is the only thing that hotel has going for it. The room had a musty smell, there was a long black hair on the bedspread and the chair armrests were so dirty we decided not to sit in it. The bathroom was relatively clean compared to the rest of the room. I will not stay here again. There are much better options available in Bar Harbor.

great value!Posted Sep 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room decor was a little outdated but the beds were comfy, everything seemed clean and the views + proximity to town couldn't be beat for the price. The staff were amazing too!

Walking distance to town.Posted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice room, hotel. Convenient to everything. 1/2 mile walk to town. They had a problem with the hot water in our room and could not shower. Sand happens. That was the only down side. Everything else was great.
