“Allamanda Beach Hotel is fantastic!”

I travelled to Barbados earlier in March and stayed in Allamanda Beach Hotel during the course of my trip. I loved it! The hotel is nice and was very accomodating. I liked the price especially because it was very affordable comparing to other hotels nearby in Hastings, Barbados. There is also a restaurant and bar that serves good food and drinks including dinner and breakfast just next to the reservation area. I love the location of this hotel as it is located on the beach side and Reckley Beach is just within 3 minutes walk. Tourists also got to stroll on the broadwalk that's built on the coast, and rest in the beach chairs if they prefer to have sunbath. At night, the hotel comes alive with lots of activities and definitely attract many people to come and enjoy the fun. Ok, now a little description for the rooms. The rooms were very very clean, free of stains or residues. The room that I stayed in has air conditioning, TV and even kitchen with stove! They also offer internet access in the room but my room's internet wasn't working at the time when I stayed. They provide amenities such as towels, toiletries like sanitary soaps and including shower gels and shampoo. The bathroom was well kept and maintained. All in all, a very nice place to stay in. Will recommend to anyone!

“Very cozy place right on the beach within walking distance to one of the best beaches on the island!”

Very friendly staff. Within walking distance to numerous resturants and shops. On busy but safe main road access to the south coast. Would definately stay here again with family. Much nicer than the larger sister hotel down the road! Staff are Bajan and very friendly!

I thought the hotel was okay the hotel staff were very friendly especially Narain of the bar/dining area he was extremely courteous and provided us with a whole lot info.

“Great Hotel”

The Hotel itself was great. The room was confortable and had a kitchenette. There is a nice boardwalk and swimming pool. The beach is nice to walk on but too rock to swim in. There is a nice public beach about a 5 minute walk down the beach. The hotel is located along the bus and taxi route so transportation is easy. The fun bars are only a 5 minute taxi ride away. There is a bar in the hotel (until 11pm ) and a bar two building down the road.

“Sporting Event Follower”

Last minute invitation to follow my daughter in a sporting event, I had two choices: all inclusive hotel with the team, or alternatives like Allamanda... My daughter stayed at the all inclusive, I chose Allamanda. Not a bad decision at all. Good location, clean, well maintain, beach access, hot water, kitchen with all appliances and tools. I had low expectations comming in, but left satisfied with the hotel. Granted, I spent the whole day at the sporting event, leaving early every morning (after a I cooked my own breakfast), and coming back late afternoon very tired. At least I had a chance to walk to the beach every afternoon to sink my tired feet in the warm waters... A small shopping center in front of the hotel provided all the extras I needed: small marked to purchase breakfast goods, wine, beer, snacks; and a food court with local food (cheaper at the local restaurants, than the Subway next door (very expensive for a footlong!!!). Instead of taking a taxi, I took the ZR's every morning and afternoon (1.00 US per ride). My only issue with the hotel was the noise from the fauna and the ocean during the night, but after a few beers or the glasses of wine, most of the noise kind of lowered down.

“Pleasantly surprised”

After having read several previous reviews I arrived at Allanda with some anxiety. I was however pleasantly surprised. My studio room was spacious, airy and CLEAN with an amazing view of the ocean which was steps away. The beach directly in front of the hotel is rocky but a short 3 minute walk along the shore brought you to a very nice beach with crystal clear blue waters. It seems as though most,if not all the rooms have been renovated. The kitchenette was adequatedly stocked with utensils for meal preparation. My only complaint was our stove was not in the best of condition. My package included breakfast which was buffet style and plentiful. I did not encounter the problem of a previous guest who found that you had to arrive early or you missed out on some items. It did however lack variety. Staff was courteous and accomodating. Overall my stay at the Allamanda was very enjoyable and I would recommend it to budget concious travellers. I would certainly go there again

“The price is right if your on a budget ...”

the hotel is on the beach but you can not swim at the beach because its full of rocks but a 10 min walk down you can swim at the other beach. The staff were wonderful and very nice and helpful. This hotel was ok to sleep in and shower that was the only time there.. The view outside was beautiful if on the Oceanside and also have a very nice terrace, also had a pool, small bar and restaurant plenty of chairs to go tanning Otherwise if your looking for fancy stuff not the place... Also was going under some construction.. Also can catch the public bus right outside. ..

“Fantastic relaxing holiday”

Staying for 10 nights at the Allamanda hotel, Hastings, Barbados was totally relaxing. The staff were very friendly, the hotel food was excellent and good value for money. It was a great base to see the island but also a great place to chill out and relax for the day. Central to other restaurants and close to bridgetown. Hi-light excursions were catamarin, snorkelling with turtles wonderful lunch and snorkelling over the coral reef, and horseriding along the beach on the east coast. Travelling by local buses was very cheap and easy too. Cant wait to go back.

“good deal in barbados”

far from a luxury hotel, but conveniently located in a central tourist area, and for the price is a good deal. it is right on the sea, rooms are old but clean, the staff is friendly. i object to paying extra for wifi, but that is a thing with me. sometimes the pool area can be noisy but the staff are willing to tell those making excessive noise. The barbados boardwalk goes right by front of hotel facing the sea making it a convenient place to walk or jog by the sea. This is not an elegant hotel, but it is well run and a good deal for the price.
