Great location and close to Bathsheba. We loved hearing the waves at night while we slept. Very soothing. We will come back and stay here again. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great as well.

The staff at the Atlantis were very helpful. Anthony & Ophia made sure our short stay was comfortable. The property has hiking close by and a beautiful view of Bathsheba and the ocean.

I really liked the family atmosphere that the Atlantis offered. Beautiful scenery, comfortable and quiet. It seemed like it was going back in time with little technology. Lots of history offered. Very friendly staff.

We absolutely loved the Atlantis and its "old world colonial charm." The location on the East coast is stunning with spectacular views. If you want a modern hotel where everything is perfect - then this is not for you. But if you want to stay somewhere full of character and charm, watching the waves crashing in outside your bedroom window - then this is the perfect spot.

Great place on nice and quiet side of island. Has sister inn on West side so can take bus to go there and use those facilities. Can walk to Bathsheba beach for surfing. Great staff! Good food.

Quiet surf town. Can use sister hotel on west coast. Very nice staff. Need car or will have to ise bus/taxi to get around if you want to explore other parts of island. I had i ocean view room so slept wonderfully to the waves all night. East side is not for swimming.

Wonderful historic hotel, on a quiet part of the island. Still good bus links to Bridgetown and Speightstown though. Lovely attentive staff and a beautiful room. Wednesday nights at the local ‘De Garage’ pub are also brilliant.

The two bedroom cottage was an absolute delight to stay in. Well appointed in a rustic way, breezy, directly ocean front and very peaceful and quiet. The hotel’s restaurant is also fabulous and we can’t wait to return!

This is a really beautiful small hotel. The views from the restaurant are exceptional. The staff are really friendly and attentive. We had a garden room which was bright, clean and spacious. Sadly I think we had the room with the worst view over the garden section that housed the water and gas tanks. Other than that we were very, very happy with our stay here.

Check in was quick and easy, staff were very pleasant and helpful (special shoutout to Ophia, she was wonderful) and our accommodations were beautiful. The east coast of Barbados is beautiful and quiet, and that's what i wanted, so it was perfect for me.

A wonderful respie
I ended up alone as my companion ended up in the hospital. I was tired and distracted and Atlantis wrapped its arms around me.The staff were amazing and thoughtful. The room was lovely. The food was the best and the views were spectacular.

What a magical place, we had an ocean side veiw and slept so soundly under the beautiful comforter to the sounds of the sea lapping the shore. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Breathtaking views

Three day break to be near the surf Hotel was ideally located. The pool was sheltered from the wind We ate in the restaurant each evening and had very good meals with the best rum punch on Island Only think to comment on was that the shower could do with updating but room size was fabulous and bed super comfortable

Very nice place ; simple , and very affordable . At first doesn’t seem like much , but the in room cleaning is very well done , rooms are neat and lovely. Failed to tell you they were not open
Booked this hotel to get ready for my wedding, and to come back for our wedding night...Hotel was closed..they will rent you the room but no one is there, they told us if we wanted food we could cook our own. When I booked hotel never told us they were closed, they will reopen July 6th or around that time...we didn't stay

Persons who are dishonest will never prosper. As per our website our hotel is open as normal and has been since October 2021. The only part of our establishment which is currently closed is our restaurant for the month of June. Had you bothered to respond to either of the two emails we sent you prior to your arrival, or read the list of available services on Hotels.com when you booked, you would have been aware. It clearly says the restaurant is closed in June. So rather than try to apportion blame to our establishment, accept personal blame for ignoring our emails not reading what was available when you booked. This message was also communicated to your hairdresser who contacted us to highlight how upset you were because the restaurant was shut. Moreover, how would anyone at the hotel know your reservation was to get ready for a wedding? Did you notify anyone of that? As stated before, you ignored all of our emails. We really do not know what else we were supposed to do? Best Regards

Spent four wonderful nights in an Ocean front suite and this was truly the highlight of my trip to Barbados. Clearly a very high standard of cleanliness and extremely friendly staff, particularly Antonio and Kerian. Food in the restaurant was absolutely super. The Catch of the Day with truffles fries is a solid choice which I had twice during my stay. You can easily spend the day relaxing by the pool or taking a walk nearby to Andromeda Gardens. Whatever your reason I recommend the Atlantis as a top choice in Bathsheba!

So beautiful! From arrival to departure we were treated as honored guests. All staff is extremely well trained and will go out of their way to address any need, sometimes before it is even spoken The rooms are gorgeous, beautiful king size bed with a very comfortable mattress. Linens are luxurious. Bathroom is huge; double sink, massive shower with lovely toiletries. Double closet with drawer and hangers and a safe (although we never even felt the need to lock the door). The food is delicious, from the breakfast buffet, to lunch to dinner. Lovely sitting room and kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals. The views are so beautiful, waves crashing in the shore, looking out to the Atlantic as far as the eye can see. I truly hope to come back on day, and stay longer. I cannot recommend this beautiful historic Inn more highly.

Bottom line, DO NOT GO to this hotel. I can only speak to the apartments. I would presume the single rooms are adequate. But overall the staff is weird and not able to understand basic concerns. The resort is overall very tired and COVID is NOT the reason why. Ripped screens for mosquitos to enter, broken shutter slats, cracked and tiles missing in shower, grossly stained granite and marble, constant septic smell, soiled bed matts, bubbling paint on exterior. Overall very dirty and not updates for 15 years and the kitchen looks like it is out of Home Depot. Refused to spend our money there and went to the Eco Lodge next door where the staff and food was fantastic

It never ceases to amaze me how some persons will never accept responsibility for their own errors and the lengths one will go with an axe to grind. Simply put Eric Griffin booked a few days before arrival clearly without doing adequate research. As a beginner surfer he didn’t know that beginners cannot surf Soup Bowl. So he made a weak attempt to get refunded and go back to the South Coast. After this was rejected - everything became a problem and the rest was history. The couple never once visited the restaurant during their seven night stay. This was probably for the best based on the aura of superiority and arrogance in Eric’s attitude. We are also unsure what was the objective behind choosing not to use the restaurant. So intent were they to avoid team members, they used the side gate next to the pool to come and go from the hotel. Nonetheless, we are happy you found the food at Eco to be fantastic. You should take the time to write them a nice review just as you’ve taken the time to write this one. It is truly unfortunate that what is our best and most desired suite to which he was assigned, the Upper Two Bedroom cottage, was terrible according to Eric. We do sincerely hope you’ve found happiness and we’re able to surf elsewhere on the island. Best Regards

What a great place! Just completed a one week stay at this amazing hotel for quarantine and had a very enjoyable time. Javon and Antonio looked after me well. It was great seeing familiar staff in these COVID times. Restaurant is currently closed temporarily but that was no issue for me. Lots of delivery options are now available. I can’t wait until I return over summer.

This property is so warm and welcoming with great staff. It’s a perfect quiet location for mandatory COVID-19 quarantine. Staff are kind enough to get you groceries, arrange your tests and check in on you daily. Highly recommend place to stay and I will definitely be back!

Covid stay on the East Side of the island
Fantastic stay in a lovely hotel in exceptional times. It was a little like camping in a hotel room as there was no kitchen open and no bar open. The setting and facilities are great, the rooms and bathrooms large and clean. Would love to return when the hotel is fully open

Bathseba is beautiful. The ocean views from this hotel are amazing but that’s all. The hotel itself has dirty, poorly lit rooms with dingy furniture and bristly hard carpets. The wood floor’s in the rooms have seemingly never been mopped/cleaned. I don’t recommend walking barefoot in your room. The only star this hotel gets is for the ocean view, would give it negative stars if I could. I would recommend staying someplace where they cleaned at least once every couple of weeks. Cleaning doesn’t happen here!

Dear Charlotte, thanks for your review. I expected this after twice denying your refund request. We will make our response as brief as possible. Prospective travellers will see dozens of 5 star reviews for the Atlantis on Expedia and elsewhere and can make their own conclusions based on your statements. The fact is that you clearly booked the wrong hotel. After being at the Crane Resort, you booked four non-refundable nights at the Atlantis and checked out after the first night to move to Dover Beach Hotel. You shared no reason for your early departure. On two occasions you contacted Expedia to cancel your reservation after checking in and get a refund. It is unfortunate that you felt the need to share these mistruths about our property. Especially after you were given a complimentary upgrade to our best Ocean Front suite prior to your arrival. We understand and appreciate that the Atlantis is for those seeking incredible ocean views, a sense of adventure and the peacefulness the East Coast has to offer. A lovely place to quarantine, although it would have been even better if the restaurant were open. Javon was very helpful, though, stocking some groceries and letting me know where I could order food for dinners. The view was more than worth any hassle.

I recently travelled to Barbados and found this beautiful gem of a property on the approved list of quarantine hotels in Barbados and it checked all the boxes. Shortly after booking Javon the manager emailed me to find out my flight arrival details, advise me of the hotel regulations while awaiting my second test and he kindly offered to collect me some groceries from the supermarket if I needed before arrival. Martins Bay was a beautiful ocean front suite with air conditioning which I didn’t even need. It felt so peaceful relaxing in bed looking out to the Atlantic Ocean. Definitely the best hotel in the Bathsheba area. I can’t wait to book again!

Spent a glorious weekend with my husband at the Atlantis. Room was spotlessly clean, staff were all delightful, especially Patricia the housekeeper, who did a great job cleaning our room. Breakfast was resonabably priced and was generally around $60 USD each morning for the two of us. Can't wait to return!

This is an example of someone booking a hotel without doing any research. The Atlantis is not on a cliff and Bathsheba Beach is 2 minutes away. If you had asked us to direct you to the beach rather than leaving the hotel an hour after checking-in to go to the Fairmont Royal Pavillion, we would have shown you.

Amazing! Wish it had been longer.I came off a boat In the early morning and learned I had a long taxi ride to “the other side of the island.” Stunning! Worth going the distance. And Javon could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Spectacular scenery, beautiful room, delicious food, and very solicitous service. I hope I can return and stay longer next time.

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The room (Skeete’s Bay) doesn’t directly face the Ocean but is extremely well laid out and spotlessly clean. Patricia our housekeeper was a star and the guys in the office were very efficient and helpful in arranging reservations and a car for us. We miss the Atlantis already and considering a return in November!

Came by for the Wednesday Buffet Lunch last week and found the hotel to be very welcoming and charming. I asked the manager to see a room which he immediately did and I was sold. I told him I would book my husband and myself in for a one night stay the following Tuesday which we did. The room Soup Bowl was flawless. Directly ocean front and amazing views. Dinner in the restaurant was also superb and the ladies in the restaurant were both very friendly and professional. So sorry we could only stay one night but we will book again for this November. This was a real treat!

We’ve just come back from a weeks stay at this hotel and loved every minute. The location is stunning. Dramatic coast line with the infamous ‘soup bowl’ surfing bay within walking distance. Please note. You can’t really swim on the East coast. Too many currents and big seas - do a car is a must if you want to get to other beaches - which are situated on the west and south coast. We stayed in the two bedroom Cottage, which is an annex to the hotel and cover looks the sea with its own private balcony and next to the pool. It has its own kitchen - which is very well stocked with everything you need to cook your own meals - apart from a cheese grater or garlic press, if you want to be really picky! The rooms are big and you share a big bathroom. Meals at the Atlantic restaurant are good and they even have vegan options and almond milk - which was fantastic for my lactose intolerant daughter. However it does tend to be rammed at lunchtimes as people come from the other side of the island to eat there so make sure you book a table. The menu is very good at lunchtime but more limited in the evenings ( particularly if you are veggie). We had a car ( vital As far as I am concerned) and found you were really only 40 minutes away from the other coasts and we went all over the island and had the most amazing time. I highly recommend it. We will be going back again soon.
