“What a find!”

We discovered Battaleys Mews when looking for a holiday to Barbados on the Expedia website. Having been to Barbados many times we were pleased to find accom. which seemed to offer great value for money, the photo's were impressive, the accom. was generously sized and even included a private plunge pool, could it really be that good? Yes, yes, yes Battaley's Mews did not let us down and we still can't believe how lucky we were to find such a hidden treasure. We travelled with our two children aged 12 and 9 years and despite being more low key than other places we have stayed, there was not a hint of boredom. The house comes with a washing machine/dryer and dishwasher to make life easy which great as there was no dirty washing to take home. The garden with it's plunge pool is a real treat as the children can still have a dip even if mum and dad are not quite ready for the pool or beach - very handy! Mullins beach is just a short stroll (5 minute walk) away, and the water there is calm and very safe/easy for swimming. The beds here cost approx. BDS 20.00 for 2 beds and an umbrella and there is a small shop which sells drinks, snacks, ice lollies and inflatables etc. We hired a car and managed to see most of the island again, with trips from the house to Bridgetown only taking around 20 mins so nothing was too far. We visited a couple of other properties while we were there but nothing compared to Battaleys Mews for space, comfort or value. Can't wait to go back!

“I highly recommend this Villa.”

Great place to stay on holiday. Villas are really nice and clean as well as the garden and surrounding area. the villa includes kitchens with a dishwasher, washing machine, ovens and kithen utensils. There is also a TV and free Wifi in lobby. Staff are really friendly, a lady called Niska really helped us out with the various questions we had as it was our first trip to barbados. She even organised a taxi for us to our taxi on the way back to the airport after the holiday. At night time security normally checks the back gardens and entrances but as Barbados has low crime levels anyway all you need is a bit of common sense like lock doors and windows if you are leaving the villa. The villa is about 5 minutes walk from Mullins beach which is handy. It is a bit of a distance from any major town to enjoy night life but its no hard to jump in a bus and be somewhere within 30-40 mins (costs about 2 barbadian dollars)

“great surprise.”

Very nice condo. Everything is up to date and well maintained. The place overall was very roomy and comfortable. It was missing wash rags and I felt they could have used another television. Very beautiful place to stay in a secluded and quiet neighborhood.

“Lovely relaxed setting”

We were very impressed with the villa and the location could not have been better for our purposes. It is hard to criticise a place in such an amazing location but we did have a couple of irritations. The house keeping didn't come in for three days which meant bed linen was not changed and towels were left wet, we did eventually ring for more towels which were eventually brought. There were things missing from the property like a corkscrew (!) and we found out at the end of the week we should have been provided with beach towels which we had had to purchase ourselves assuming they were not routinely provided. The photo on the website of the pool is very flattering in comparison to reality! However these are all minor details that can be amended, I would recommend this property and location to anyone but would advise hiring a car as well.

“Up-tight and invasive”

If you do not mind tip - towing and wispering, security guards walking unanounced through your private back yard and a boring white washed atmospher, this is the place for you! Not only is it too quite, with a feeling that everyone else staying there needs to wake up early and go to work, but you are afraid of disturbing others by having too much fun!
