“Easy access to the beach. Great view of the ocean from my balcony”

“Good location, good value”

I stayed at Blue Horizon recently and liked it - my room was on the top floor (no lifts, but staff immediately offered to carry my bag and didn't expect a tip), and this meant that I had the most beautiful view of the beach and blue ocean. Room was comfy, spotlessly clean and the hotel is in a great location (lots of places to eat and drink around, beautiful beach literally across the road). Staff friendly and helpful. I'll use Blue Horizon again.

“Great hotel for budget minded traveler”

Central located hotel in above average condition for age. All facilities and staff above average. Restaurant good. Located near beach. Nearby restaurants reasonable.

“Fantastic Location”

The hotel is in a great location, directly opposite Rockley/Accra beach. Many of the rooms overlook the beach so you have a great view from your balcony. There are a number of bars and restaurants within walking distance and a shopping plaza with a convenience store just down the road. The hotel provides a complementary continental breakfast consisting of fruit juice, coffee/tea, toast and a selection of cakes, although there is a menu should you want a cooked breakfast. The hotel staff are very polite and are willing to carry out any requests that you may have. The rooms are a good size with an enormous bed , kitchenette (with microwave, toaster, fridge kettle etc), and other usual amenities like TV, iron, hair dryer etc. We would definitely stay here again. The bus stop and taxi stand are across the road providing easy access to the rest of the island.

“Second stay as impressive as my first”

I was first introduced to Blue Horizon in '97. This year was an easy choice for me as I liked the closeness to the many beaches on the South Coast. What attracted me to Blue Horizon was the pallette of tropical colors and the lush plantlife on the property. I was glad to see the grounds and buildings are well kept and the atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. The staff were helpfull and accomodating. My other choice for choosing Blue Horizon was the location to downtown Bridgetown and all my family members I had to contact while visiting Barbados.

“Perfect location! Great value!”

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times and would definitely stay again! Clean, comfortable rooms with beautiful beach views. The location is perfect, right across from Rockley beach, close to great places to eat and hang out with buses towards Bridgetown or Oistins and St Lawrence Gap right outside. Would recommend "BBQ Barn" just next door which is like a Bajan version of Nando's! Also close by is "Just Grillin" another good place to eat. Stay here if you want to be close to a lively, fun area.

“Can]t wait to go back”

My nephew and I stayed at the hotel for two (2) nights. I thought the service was really goood and the receptionist quite helpful. I was very impressed with the way in which the clerks tried to accomodate my nephew who has one leg. On recognizing this, they quickly made the necessary arrangements to accomodate him so that he would not have to climb so many stairs. One of the male clerks gave valuable advice about transportation. Spefcial thanks to all and I will visit again.

“Good choice”

I have only one criticism. The hotel charges $10US per day to access the Internet. Although I am a non-business traveller, there is a need to stay in touch with home. Most hotels are changing to offering free WiFi access to their customers.
